If it's something to do with Oddworld, then oddworld.com. If it's to do with the antisocial network or whatever Oddmobb are working on (seperate to JAW), then presumably oddmobb.com.

This is very exciting news. I've been a fan of these games since I first played Oddworld Abe's Odyssey. I cannot wait for the Odd Box, so I can relive the legend again of all the 4 games :)

Munch's Exoddus wouldn't be a part of the Quintology, though I agree it would be nice to see.

It would be part of the Quintology storyline, it just wouldn't contribute to the count of five games.

The new games? Yes. Just Add Water could not legally create Oddworld games without Lorne and Sherry's permission.

It would be interesting if they would start re-working on hand of odd! Or maybe in this new game they will make every oddworld character meet in 1 place and battle the forces of evil together

This is great, i've played the first 2 Oddworld games when i was a kid, i loved Abe's Exodus.
I'm also looking forward to play Munch's Oddysee and Stranger's wrath on my pc.

How can Abe's Exodus be seen as a bonus game to Oddysee??? 'Cause, Abe's Exodus is so much better, and longer... I don't get it :S..

I guess cause both cames still center around Abe, and each Quintology has to have a new character.

It's because Abe's Exoddus isn't essential to understand the story. AO has Abe discover and accept his fate as saviour of his people. AE is just him doing that for a bit before the real story begins with the rescue of Sam, the trial of Molluck and the freedom of the last Gabbit alive in MO. Or one third of that, anyway.

Would it be reasonable to assume that, if Munch's Exoddus did get released, then the trial of Mullock and rescue of Sam and other things that weren't included in MO would be used there instead?

No. Hand of Odd was an idea to capitalize on the A.L.I.V.E. II engine, just as Fangus was an idea to capitalize on the Stranger engine. Since the A.L.I.V.E. II engine fell far short of OWI's expectations, it was never suitable for Hand of Odd. Like Fangus, Lorne may chose to tell that story/explore that gameplay one day, but it would probably require it own game engine, and they have other things they want to be doing for the foreseeable future.

No point complaining- after so long, I think we should consider ourselves lucky that we're getting any new games. If they're a success, then hopefully Lorne can turn back to some of the projects that never happened. Win- win, see? :D

Oddworld is a forgotten title to many gamers, and hopefuly these new games will revive oddworld ... and Lorne will probbably carry on with the quintolagy.

Ah well, has it occurred to anyone that, even if the games are a huge success...very few people are going to understand the "quintology" concept unless they have played any of the previous games. The very old games. That have, as Puddiiin said, been forgotten by many. I see this as a slight complication, eh?

I think more people will be familiar with the idea of the Quintology through interviews with Lorne, and by word-of-mouth via news/reviews/previews, friends and other fans.

Yeah, half of what I know about Oddworld was never mentioned once in the games themselves. It makes me wonder if we should still consider it canon now that someone else is working on the series.

It's not that someone else is making the series, it's just Lorne and his gang go by a different name now.

I've considered that a lot of people must have forgotten-or more or less put aside the oddworld games and got on with their lives. If OWI and whatever companies it's working with want to make a comeback, they need to make one hell of a bang that will land them on the cover of a game magazine, especially if they want to attract a new crowd and bring the oldies back in, panting on their knees.

It also make me wonder if OWI just doesn't have the funds to independantly develop a game on their own if the desired.
