how does the best artist one work? as in, would it be someone who's contibuted loads of great art or someone who's not contributed very much so far but the stuffs been amazing

all these awards go by our votes. every single person (i believe) is allowed to vote at these award ceremony things. so if we think your artwork is great, you'll get our votes. unless people start using favouritism.

I think that my incredible fan fic is really going to shake up the Fan Corner awards this year.

Speaking of which... I was randomly browsing dA one day.. And came across this profile who had been a member for maybe a few weeks. All he did was abstract art. Not even unique, cool handpainted abstract art. It was all PHOTOSHOP effects. I could see that all he had done was download a few splatter brushes and applied effects to them. Despite this, he had an incredbly high amount of faves and comments. It really just shows you how easily some humans are pleased. Anyone could have done that in the matter of 10 minutes.

Oh I also randomly saw an ad in a Magazine once, of a VERY badly cut out girl and some basic photoshop brushes used on the picture(the standard star and grass ones)... It was so low quality that I felt angry about not having a job at that magazine.

EDIT: like i said before, i hope the recommendations in this thread will actually be read and considered, and not ignored in the sea of fucking spam.

i doubt any award that would glorify breaking the rules or being hostile will be considered, as it could encourage people not to be themselves and be arsey.

Dunno... I'd suggest a "Grumpy" award but that probably fits in the "hostile" category.

Anyway it would be nice to hear from the mods, if they consider any of the suggestions.
