Wings of Fire 06-08-2009 08:56 AM

His son.

STM 06-08-2009 08:56 AM

racial?

MA 06-08-2009 09:09 AM

WoF is right.

what belongs to you but is used more by others?

OddjobAbe 06-08-2009 09:10 AM

The bathroom.

Your name

MA 06-08-2009 12:59 PM

correct.

'he' has 1 and a 'person' has 2,
a 'citizen' has 3 and a 'human being' has 4,
a 'personality' has 5 and an 'inhabitant of Earth' has 6.
what am i?

Mojo 06-08-2009 01:11 PM

A vowel.

Mac Sirloin 06-08-2009 02:08 PM

Vowels.

MA 06-09-2009 07:04 AM

so very close and probably possible, but isnt the answer i'm actually looking for.
think along the lines of Charades.

OddjobAbe 06-09-2009 07:34 AM

A syllable. I think, anyway, though I may be wrong.

MA 06-09-2009 08:18 AM

thats the one.
so far;

OddjobAbe: 4
BM: 1
ArtemisPanthar: 3
MA: 4
Kastere: 7
MeechMunchie: 1
Laser: 4
Mojo: 2
Wings of Fire: 1

this one's piss easy;
you have a barrel, filled to the brim with water, which weighs 150 kilos. what can you add to it in order to make it lighter?

OddjobAbe 06-09-2009 08:19 AM

A lamp?

MA 06-09-2009 08:22 AM

sorry, i put the question across the wrong way. i mean lighter in weight.

if that was an intended joke, then i am a dunce. ha.

MeechMunchie 06-09-2009 08:23 AM

This was a while ago, but Mojo was right with 'a hole'.
Has anyone answered Kastere's 'coming with food' puzzle correctly yet? 'tis a hard one that.
Oh, and is the answer to MA's one heat?

MA 06-09-2009 08:25 AM

he hasnt let on yet. i though it was foliage.

That was an intended joke. But let's use "imbecile" rather than "dunce". It makes you feel worse about yourself.

MA 06-09-2009 08:29 AM

good answer MeechMunchie, but the real answer is much simpler.

IMBECILE.
but then i dont get a hat. i may actually suspect myself to be a buffoon.

Air.

MA 06-09-2009 08:44 AM

not the one.

you'll kick yourself when you hear the answer.

Mojo 06-09-2009 10:47 AM

Balloons filled with helium

MA 06-09-2009 10:58 AM

the answer is quite trivial. dont take it too literally when it says to 'add' something.

i am really surprised no one has got it yet, unless they have and are just enjoying the answers coming up.

I'm assuming its a hole?

shaman 06-09-2009 02:29 PM

Fire?

Mojo 06-09-2009 03:25 PM

A comma, somewhere in the 150? either 1,50, or 15,0 kilos?

That example of lateral thinking deserves my rep even though it should be a period.

Mojo 06-10-2009 04:09 AM

Euro FTW :P. He mentioned kilos, and that's metric :p. And most countries that use a period, don't use metric system :P.

MA 06-10-2009 06:31 AM

ArtemisPanther is correct, a hole.
good show Mojo.

this one's easy;

each morning i appear,
to lie at your feet,
all day i will follow,
no matter how fast you run,
yet i nearly perish in the midday sun.
what am i?

OddjobAbe 06-10-2009 06:33 AM

Shadow.

Mac Sirloin 06-10-2009 12:38 PM

What smells like burning plastic if you burn it?

OddjobAbe 06-10-2009 12:40 PM

Plastic.

MA 06-10-2009 12:45 PM

OddjobAbe was right with 'shadow'.

what do you put in a toaster?

OddjobAbe 06-10-2009 12:49 PM

Would toast be too obvious? Or is this one trying to trick me?

Nate 06-10-2009 05:53 PM

A knife. Certainly explains my hairstyle.

MeechMunchie 06-10-2009 11:25 PM

Bread!

Nate 06-11-2009 12:34 AM

Crumpets!
Bagels!
Half-toasted bread that needs a little more toasting!

Bullet Magnet 06-11-2009 12:51 AM

I fear the answer is too dependant upon the person you are asking. Before long we'll see people saying "Broccoli!" "Eggs!" "Bills!" "CDs!" "Hamsters!"

MA 06-11-2009 06:49 AM

i know, it was terrible. MeechMunchie was right though.

what cheese is made backwards?

OddjobAbe 06-11-2009 06:55 AM

Oh, fuck, I just realised how stupid my answer for the toaster one was.

Edam. That was actually pretty easy.

MA 06-11-2009 07:10 AM

i actually thought you were joking OddjobAbe. you've just dropped yourself in it! :D
Your correct with Edam.

this one is quite hard;

What english word means 'burning wood' when you take away the first letter of the word?

MeechMunchie 06-11-2009 08:02 AM

I'm going to say... member. As in ember. But there are probably multiple answers. And embers don't have to be from wood.
EDIT: Do you mean the action of burning something, or the adjective of something being on fire? If the former, it could be graze. As in raze. As in 'Raze to the ground'.
