Actually, a company called Riada started it, by making a little wizard that could make LED style java tickers. The only website I know of that hosts one of these is www.Aliens.com, the dialup provider. And because I can't be bothered to upload my own .class file I just use theirs. :D

Yep happening to me too, that pop up keeps asking me to install it. But i refuse everytime :p

Any thread I visit with the Newsticker takes five minutes to load. It also freezes the browser window until that time is up, and then suddenly acts normal.

Actually when I cancel the "Java Virtual Machine" dialogue box, the IE window stays open and I can still see the newstickers. Hmmm....

Oddguy I know, but I didnt care to give him the credit for it.;) Trust me I know my history around here.:) I plan on taking it down for a while, it is good for a little bit but annoys even myself.

Yeah, I took down my ticker earlier than expected. It was buggin' me and others, so I just got rid of it.
