This is my new favorite thing. Your art is great, and I can't wait to see what happens next!
EDIT LUCKY |
Yo, Fennec.
You're famous! |
Faith in OWI restored: They like onomatopoeias as much as I do!
|
I saw that, and I've been quietly losing my shit for the past couple days *_* Don't get me wrong, this is a dream come true. It's just that now I consider myself under even MORE pressure not to mess up.
Edit: FUUUUUUU I DIDN'T REALIZE THEY SHARED IT ON FACEBOOK TOO, I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ON TWITTER. Guess I should dust off my old Facebook account. |
Come on, Casey. Get drawing!
|
Yeah, they are catching up! Quick!
|
Hey Fen, now would be the perfect time to make that website with all of this new publicity. Don't throw away free advertisements. :fuzwink: wad ya reckon?
Also, don't threat about not showing Sekto's face. The lightening bolt worked so well. It reminded me of a classic, dramatic cut-to-black. You sure this isn't the conclusion? haha. ... I can't believe I missed another page coming out ... devastated. How can I call myself your biggest fan?! D: Well, I guess there's not a big wait for me for this prologue conclusion. |
Woah No pressure Fennec, you've done great. Keep it up! :D
|
:
And though I'm sure I've said this before, I'll say it again. Thank you all such much for the feedback and words of encouragement! I was originally really nervous about trying my hand at a fanwork, just because I didn't want to end up butchering something a lot of people loved, but I'm so glad that ya'll are enjoying it so far ^^ |
:
Or maybe they just want to give you some time to finish the prologue by the time they reach it :p |

|
Fennec's gonna need an ass the size of a truck to fit this recognition!

And with that, the prologue draws to a close. The next chapter, Loose Ends, should be on it's way before too long! |
|
Oh my GOD I'm in love with this!! Fantastic writing and art, can't wait to see what happens next!!
|
|
Oh great! It's back! :D
|
I feel it's missing something :(
|
Where's stranger butt??? Nice strip there btw.
|
|
This is so good Fennec! I like a lot the perspective there.
|
This comic is beautiful, just beautiful...
|
I have to wonder why Stranger's clad in the first armor he receives from the Grubbs, rather than the last armor. Art's as great and captivating as ever.

Great, the comic is getting better and better, can't wait to see what happens next.
Btw Fennec, why potoo/nightjar those are some crazy birds =) https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...bird-humor.jpg |
I use a potoo avatar because it's pretty much my spirit animal :P
https://www.unbelievable-facts.com/w...cary-Potoo.jpg That right there is an accurate depiction of my mental state at any given time. |
Look who's back, back again
This shit's back Tell a friend https://img00.deviantart.net/bb15/i/...re-dc66zcj.png https://img00.deviantart.net/3489/i/...re-dc6703p.png You probably noticed that this page looks pretty different from the previous ones, especially in the linework. I've found I kind of prefer using rougher lines like this, they feel a bit more flexible/expressive than ink-style hard lines, but I want some other opinions here! Do you prefer the sketchy look, or the neater look? |
First of all YES THIS IS BACK.
*ahem* it looks like the linework suddendly changes after the third panel, it's less rougher like you said. Honestly in the first three panels the linework is thicc enough to make the subjects look good. In the fourth panel it is less wide, but that's a good trick actually. The more far the subjects are, the more the lines are thin. Linework also depends on the materials. Not all of it should be the same, it sometimes needs to vary. Check this drawing for example: https://i.pinimg.com/564x/ac/53/4b/a...76393bbcda.jpg You can see that the lines' thickness varies here. This trick makes more clear the motion, the distinctness and the materiality of the waves. |
Aww heck yeah I was hoping to see more of this soon! The last page looks good! :D
