This music is not punk or metal, just french variety and sound nice :)

In a song that is often used for metal/electro covers this remix really shines through. c:

Too damn catchy.

I've listened to this too much the last few days.

I want to transcribe it, but apparently I lack the talent.

Slog Bait 07-17-2013 03:24 AM

Transcribing is fucking hard, dude. You just gotta keep trying, you'll get it eventually.

Phylum 07-17-2013 04:35 AM

The main problem with that song is that the chords aren't standard, and my keyboard is at least 10hz sharper than than the recording. Also, it's really dense and I'm not used to piano parts in that style.

OddjobAbe 07-17-2013 09:17 AM

I once transcibed this as an exercise. Was it accurate? Maybe a little bit.

Slog Bait 07-18-2013 12:55 AM

That seriously sounds exactly like what happens when someone tells me to improvise on piano

OddjobAbe 07-18-2013 01:36 AM

The man had no idea how to play piano. He had a unique sense of rhythm, however. He gave it to a guitarist to play, and it turned into this (the tape above is only the final half of the guitar piece).

Phylum 07-18-2013 02:04 AM

You couldn't write atonal music like that if you tried.

OddjobAbe 07-18-2013 04:20 AM

In my opinion, Beefheart was even better than Schoenberg. Arnie had his serialism and academic approach, but Beefheart eschewed all organisation in favour of absolute cacophony played with great spirit. Very beautiful.

Dynamithix 07-18-2013 07:07 AM

Faves from the new Kanye album.

Ridg3 07-18-2013 07:20 AM

Another amazing cover. Although the singer looks as though he's squeezing a turd out during some points.

Mr. Bungle 07-18-2013 08:29 PM

Dyna, you forgot Black Skinhead and Bound 2. Easily my favourites off Yeezus. Great album.
