I seriously and urgently need to gain weight. I'm about 5'7" and only weigh about 47kg. I'm like a fucking Ethiopian.

I just don't know where to start, though.

You could go to a dietician or start eating a lot of meat during the day. But you need to do some gym, trust me.

best way to get into shape is to just do hard, physical work. that way you're actually doing something whilst exercising and can make yourself feel useful by looking at how much work you've done, learning basic skills along the way. something as simple as learning to hammer nails without missing or bending it is something that will certainly come in handy many times in various points in life.

Thisthisthis. I've lost so much weight over the last year just working that the only clothes that don't make me feel like I'm wearing a tent are some undersized Jeans. I'm the skinniest I've ever been, and I have big ol' muscly arms. Being fit is awesome.

I don't work out. I think my body is fine how it is.

I think blokes should have muscles.

My new legs work out is very hard, squats kill me! Also deltoids' work out is hard with shoulder press. Easy the other legs' exercises (leg press 45° and leg extension) and triceps press, but they're very pumping!

Are there any basic exercise that focus on your pecs? I'm not trying to become an Adonis here, I just want to offset the fish-look that I described earlier.

I find getting some dumbells, lying on your backm, and, with your arms held out wide flat on the ground to either side of you, lift them so the dumbbells meet above your chest. Feels like my chest's getting worked out but I'm not an expert, only gone and gotten on with doing exercise this week myself.

Bench presses. I do them with a barbell, but you can do them with dumbbells too.

crunches.

Nate 07-29-2011 01:42 PM

Crunches don't work on your pecs. What are you smoking?

crunches.

I think you got mixed up between abs and pecs there, mate.

STM 07-29-2011 03:32 PM

Ugh, yeh.

EDIT: Wrong thread.

RE-EDIT: Thanks, though.
