Come on, you guys never saw Kim Possible? Man, I miss the old days.

OddjobAbe 07-07-2009 01:05 PM

My nephew watched that sometimes. It wasn't that great. And those days aren't very old.

Welcome to the forums, by the way.

OANST 07-07-2009 01:08 PM

Yeah. Kim Possible is both recent and crap.

I should mention, judging by your location and idea of old, you'll be a similar age to my nephew. Surely you remember something good (for example, Sooty. That's one show I don't mind watching with him)?

AlexFili 07-07-2009 01:15 PM

"old days"? It wasn't that old mate.

Why not say something more retro like "Biker Mice From Mars" (not the new series) or Street Sharks!

OddjobAbe 07-07-2009 01:16 PM

You're forgetting something.
:

Sooty
If you're British and don't remember any incarnation of this show, you should be ashamed.

Wings of Fire 07-07-2009 01:18 PM

Sweep was totally my favourite character.

And ladies and gentlemen, may I just say one thing...

Indeed. I dont know when it ended but I stopped watching it ages ago and thanks for welcoming me.

And I do remember Sooty. To be honest I just remembered it there, name rings a bell. And well, those days are old for me, considering I'm still a teenager. Oh and another comes to mind; Brum.

Fuck, I love the name "bagpuss."

Can the nineties be placed into the category of "the old days"?

OANST 07-07-2009 01:36 PM

Sure. Go ahead.

My nephew fucking loved that. I didn't mind watching that with him, either. I bought a compilation tape for him - it had Sooty, Brum, Rosie and Jim, Tot's TV and Win in the Willows on it along with a few other shows. In fact, there was a Sooty episode on it in which Sue pretended to have been impregnated.

OANST 07-07-2009 01:41 PM

Tell me something, Oddjob. Do you really have a nephew, or is that just a euphemism that you use when talking about transient boys that you bring home, molest, and then chop into little bits? If not, you need to tell that kid to go the fuck home every once in a while.

Wings of Fire 07-07-2009 01:41 PM

A few sections in the nineties animated Wind in the Willows film seriously shit me up, the bit where Otter loses his son comes to mind.

Also Animals of Farthing Wood is one of the best and most intelligent kids shows I ever saw.

Also Count Duckula and Danger Mouse.

Me and my brother live next door to each other. Both my nephew and my brother practically lives with me.

OANST 07-07-2009 01:43 PM

I loved Count Duckula!

Live.

Two can play your game.

Shit. Double Post. Sorry.

OddjobAbe 07-07-2009 01:44 PM

I am going to try and save myself by saying that I originally forgot to add "my brother", and so forgot to change "lives" to "live". Either you buy it or you don't.

OANST 07-07-2009 01:45 PM

Eh, I buy it.

Nate 07-07-2009 05:46 PM

On the other hand, Count Duckula was awesome.

Especially as a rolemodel to a young, lonely vegetarian.

Wings of Fire 07-07-2009 05:47 PM

The Nightmare episode gave me them though.

Strike Witch 07-07-2009 06:07 PM

I liked Duckula too, pity I can barely remember it.

My 90's memory space is taken up entirely by the kickarse X-men intro music.

MA 07-08-2009 09:47 AM

'Nanny' from Count Duckula acted exactly like a distant relative of mine; she was big and not too bright. then one day she walked into the living room with her arm in a sling. i fucking burst out laughing. she still doesn't know why i did that.

MeechMunchie 07-08-2009 11:37 AM

Danger Mouse was good. When I was just a slithering spawnling, I loved Sonic Underground. Now I think it is crap. But then, it was made made for children.

Wings of Fire 07-08-2009 11:39 AM

Oh well, if we're talking about Sonic cartoons...

Thass' 'cause you a pussy.

Yes, I'm quoting Mudflap and Skids. Fuck off.

Pilot 07-08-2009 04:38 PM

Adventures of sucked balls (literally.) I really enjoyed the Saturday Morning adaptation of Sonic the Hedgehog. Better animation, better storylines, and three dimensional characters. Anyone remember that?

Oh yeah, don't forget this

Wings of Fire 07-08-2009 04:39 PM

Oh I know, but don't try telling that to the youtube commune.

NelspikeTX 07-09-2009 06:48 AM

No talking about Sonic here. XD Joking. I'm actually into the Sonic Community world, video games, cartoons, and all that. I'm Staff at a Fan Gaming Forum too, here if you want to visit it.

And yeah, SOnic and Tails do sound gay sometimes. <_< Although, one of the Series that I've liked a lot was Sonic X. Yeah, Sonic X is recent, but it's pretty good. You should watch it if you do have the time.

OddjobAbe 07-09-2009 06:53 AM

My nephew watched that too. To be honest, I thought it was awful.
