Like I say, OANST, she’s been in a whole load of crap I couldn’t care less about watching.

Better than Dr. Who.

So I was eating lunch with my friends in the cafeteria. Everything was normal, lunch was about to end in 5 minutes. All the sudden a kid wearing a Nintendo jacket walked up to our table and just yelled "BOTTLE CAPS!" We weren't show what to do. HE then asked in a normal tone to give him our bottle caps, we obliged. Pretty sure he went to another table to yell at them for their bottlecaps. Pretty weird.

And you never asked him why? Because that strikes me as even more weird.

‘Hand me your bottlecaps.’
‘O.K.!’

Sounds like he thought he was being 'random.'

I hope he gets beat up a lot.

My friend IM'ed me, aparrently he was getting an Email from one week in the future.
Oh, and last week there was frost on the ground...in Florida.

I'm probably the only one who thinks either of those is weird.

I dunno I got him to take the rest of my trash with the bottle cap, it seemed like a win.

I recently went to a "crafternoon" hosted by these Couchsurfing folks in Brooklyn (for those of you who don't know what couchsurfing is; Google it, it's cool). On the website the events said something along the lines of "arts and crafts in Bushwick".

SO my friend and I went, not knowing what to expect, and came to this giant old building in the middle of a dead factory neighborhood. The place was huge, and filled with random furniture, tens and tens of bikes and just a bunch of random shit everywhere. We walked up to the second floor, where we had been directed by couchsurfers smoking outside the front door, and came into a room with a few people sitting down gluing fabric and drawing. We stayed for about an hour and a half just artsing and crafting with a bunch of total strangers, some of whom were really cool and interesting, many of whom were traveling the world.

It was a lot of fun, I'm hoping to go back in the next few weeks. But it was definitely weird.

Maybe Mr. Bottlecap had just played Fallout 3, and was mistaking them for money.

You know what's weird? One time when i was in the 6th grade, at was at my moms appartment and apparently she said i aparently sleep walked up to the trash can, unzipped my pants, and wizzed inside it, not missing.

And then a couple months later, I was walking my dog around the neighborhood (he's dead; he was very fat and lazy, and it was around the time near his death.) and my dog just either passed out or decided to lay down in the middle of the road. So, not wanting to leave his tubby self there, i picked him up, which took alot of work, and carried him back in the direction of my home. I was walking in the area near the sidewalk/center of the road, and a car was near me and randomly went off, either waking my dog from sleep or shocking him back to being conscious, and he started spazaming and jumped out of my arms, running in the other direction. And of course, I didn't want to give up on him and I ran up the road, and I heard my dog yelp off in the distance (Yes, for a fat dog he is pretty fast). Whenever I reached about where the end of the road where my dog was laying down, all fours in the air, and looked frightened as he looked in the direction of a darkened house, so i was guessing something scared him whenever he ran around there, but...I'm not quite sure, so I just held on tight to my dog and ran off to my house, not wanting to inspect it further.

This isn't from me, but my sister heard stories in her highschool about a year ago, about this house not really on the main streets, kind of like someones own private land, and there was a short trail that led down to it. Aparently two kids from her highschool (i'm guessing her friends or some guys in her classes) that decided to go to the house, which had dozens of holes and was ruined, and they went into the kitchen where they found a little notecard that had a company number and logo on it, so they decided to call it as a prank call. The thing went to a automated voicemail that would ask for whatever you want, like press 1 for blablabla, so they chose a meeting, and after that the voicemail just said "Thank you, your meeting is scheduled for tommorow." Of course, they didn't know where to go so they just went back home. About two days later, they went back and there was a yellow stickey note that said "Sorry for the inconvienance, couldn't make the meeting yesterday." They were a bit weired out, so they left almost immediatly. Then they came back, maybe a week later, and there was a stickey note in the exact same place and said "Why haven't you visited in so long, I got lonely?" after that, they never came back.

Yup, very weird things. Except for the first one, hehe...:p

This is an urban myth that has been circulating for quite a while. There have been many variations of it but the glue that binds them together is that they are all most certainly lies.

Ah, never knew that. But there IS indeed a house like that in my neighborhood. I have been there, but it's not as in bad a shape as it was said to be in the "story". I actually went over there earlier today.

Wings of Fire 02-02-2009 01:36 PM

An abandoned house in a state as big and with such a turbulent history of prosperity as Texas?

Who'd have thought.

PROTIP: Houses like that are everywhere, and Like Joe said, Texas isn't exactly sparse with them.
