and seeing them and your appearance properly (is there a way to see your face in game without using the VATS?) would be nice aswell.
erm, press the left shoulder button little man, switches to 3rd. hold it down to rotate around your character.

if you don't want the responsibility of moneymaking/repairing things there is always Fable

Yay for Pre War Books! They get you an awesome 100 Caps per book! I already turned in about 15 :P.

Leto 11-26-2008 09:21 PM

Do the same for Brotherhood of Steel holotags ;)

mudling 11-26-2008 10:31 PM

Thanks, wow that was simple.
Game is tonnes addictive, and it's cool to find things like caravans, prefer slightly more linear games, but it's still great, and I guess offers alot for those who want it.
Holidays are comming up soon, so I'll have heaps of time to play it.
I have a feeling I'll be seeing the same brown all throughout the game though, much like the constant oblvion green, but owell.

Where do I turn those in?

Leto 11-29-2008 01:13 PM

The Citadel. You get into it during the course of the main quest. Once inside, go to the A Ring, then down the pathway to your right should be some computers and scribe people. The one with a unique name will pay you 100 for each holotag.

I only have 1 more achievement to go. Level 20 with an evil character.

edit: THIS BRIGHTENED MY DAY :)

Mojo 12-13-2008 05:11 AM

Bah, I hate the bugs where the people you have to collect stuff for disappear...

So far I lost Walter (stuck with 54 scrap metals), the BOS holotag scribe (wasn't even there!) and the person you see when you turn in the fiingers...

You can unload the scrap to a ghoul named Winston(???) in the Underworld
at the Museum of History.

The finger bitch will go outside for some reason, if she is not killed by the
radscorpions she will run off. I found her at the edge of the Scrapyard .

The old man is just dead, stupid twit.

Just finished the main quest... the end is a bit... well too abrupt

I know that you can turn the scrap metal in to the guy at fort independence as well.

What old man are you talking about?

Oh, and finished the game... The point of no return sucks. Make sure you do all the quests before you get there :P.

DLC is coming out which allows playing after the main quest. No idea how they'll work it into the story, probably some cop out where you wake up on a hospital bed recovering from radiation sickness or something.

Anywho, I haven't played this in a while, as I've done pretty much everything, all achievements, 3 level 20 games of good, neutral and evil karma, etcetc. I'll play this again in 6 months when I've forgotten how to do everything.

Hobo 12-20-2008 12:01 PM

They're changing the ending. 4chan told me so.

Spoilers:

That would be pure magic, as you turn into a puddle of goo when you turn on the machine in the end... As seen in one of the clips in the ending, where Lyons is watching you through the glass...

I have a question, though I'm not really sure why I'm expecting anyone to give an informed answer.

I'm playing Fallout 3 on the PC right now but the longer I play the more I really sense this game was designed for consoles. Am I right in this and will I have a better experience if I start this over on the Xbox?

Xavier 01-04-2009 11:04 AM

I really enjoyed playing it on the xbox 360, that's for sure...
I'm also using VATS a lot, keeps the play unstressful :p

Anonyman! 01-04-2009 06:49 PM

Eh. I almost used VATS exclusively. I'd actually run back a room and wait for my action points to recharge.

Oh and 90002 of you can go die in a sewer.

mudling 01-05-2009 01:12 AM

Finnished the game, loved it, sure it suffered from a few simularities from oblivion (NPC's are a little lifeless, 3rd person sucks), it is much better than what I had thought it would be, and there are so many little things to do.
If only you could discuss backstory with the companions, but owell.
I was thinking, maybe *spoilers*
your character would instead be ghoulified, therefore, you still get the cons from the sacrifice, but you also remain alive, and if you don't like being a ghoul, and kill the girl instead, you arsehole.
