OANST 01-19-2008 10:20 AM

Oh I've given up, I've made long posts, well thought out ones, and I get rep, and then ONAST and his fan club just throughs shit at me, and Disgruntled Intern (and I only pointed it out becuase you said the same about me) becuase I gave him negative points, the simple fact that ONAST has so powerful points alone shows that he's got enough supporters.
I give up, I realy do, it's not the rep system, but what it means, I stand up to the forums and make a few negative remarks, and I've got the whole forums on me, I only complained about Hobo becuase I thought he was trying to get me to make an excuse to be punnished, for all of the shit I've caused.
Well, I'm not holding an I'm leaving thread, but I probably am, I tried to stop it with ONAST, and I have all of his fucking freinds (Well, two of them anyway) giving me negative stuff for thing's that have already been stated.
So, if someone would just look at my rep points, I hope that could help everyone to see what's wrong with these forums.
I knew standing up to several people was a bad idea, but that's not going to fix anything, as several people have stated, several people need to start acting their ages, maybe even me included.
And ONAST, you did it becuase I stood up to you and pointed out your flaws, not becuase of my complaining, I wasn't actually complaining, or I didn't mean to, I was pointing out a fact.

Exactly which flaws are these? The fact that I'm a dick? Trust me, Sally. You aren't the first to say so. AIN and Carnix have said the same thing. Do you think I treat them the same as you? No. You're a whiny bitch and that's the reason for the season.

Is there a way to see why others have given rep points to you, or anyone else? I didn't see anything by viewing the users little account page.

You can only see it in your User CP. At the bottom of the page. If the users who gave or took rep, didn't give an explanation, then there is none. You can PM them if you're desperate to know though.

Personally, I don't take the whole Rep-system that seriously. I see it as (I think) it was originally meant to be: a fun-function of OWF. I check it once in a while and think "Hm, nothing changed here. I guess I'm not doing anything bad, then." and that's it.

Moreover, the main point to me is the opinion others give; not the Rep points which come along with it. Then again, all this can be solved in the classic way, which is replying in threads and expressing your opinion on the respective matter. I think this is the reason why I don't take this system seriously. The Rep-point-part is just an interesting additional function.

What does it mean if there's a blue box next to a rep in my user CP?

Maybe that it didn't produce you Rep points? I also have one on my list, and there's no change in points...

As far as I can tell, it’s when the rep given/taken is zero. I don’t think vB stores whether the rep given/taken is approval or disapproval, the PHP just works out the value in real‐time. So if a person gives you rep while having no rep power, the neutral blue card is used, whether they gave you positive or negative rep.

This rep terminology is exhausting.
