Another thing that ticks me off is when someone stares at you and then grunts or says the practical "Uh!"
I just want to throw a shopping cart at them...

skillya_glowi 01-03-2007 06:44 PM

I hate my parents' shitty attitude towards Oddworld.

I'm so sick of hearing them call AO and AE "the game with the little green idiot."
And I don't give a fuck if they laugh at me for being a fan but it does get on your nerves.
And it's even worse when a friend of mine laughs at me for that very same reason, but she used to be an Oddworld fan too.

:fuzemb:

Arxryl 01-03-2007 06:49 PM

Ouch...
When your parents say "that little green idiot" you could correct them by saying "It's a little blue idiot! If you are going to insult him, at least do it correctly." ;)

Something else that ticks me off is when things on my computer don't work right, even when they were working two minutes ago... Like certain internet sites and friggen "itunes".

Patrick Vykkers 01-03-2007 09:36 PM

I hate people who don't know monkeys and apes are different things, or that evolution is neither a ladder nor Pokemon. I also hate the Golden Mean fallacy and the idiots on Comment is free (It's the left wing version of Free Re(ich)public, I tell ya) and liberals in general.

Jordan 01-03-2007 11:29 PM

My parents never care when I play Oddworld, I mainly play it on the PC when they're watching TV! :p But my mum gets the name muddled up, she calls it Abe's Oddworld... WTF!? Abe controls planet Oddworld?

Reptile 01-04-2007 07:06 AM

Humanity, mostly.

And when people drink out of cartons of orange juice or milk.

Rubbish. Absolute excrement. I have jewish friends who are blond-haired and blue-eyed. I have some that are middle-eastern or African. And I've met some that are Asian.

Whilst Judaism is a religion passed on (maternally) through birth, so that someone can be Jewish even if they don't practise it, there is no such thing as "the Jewish race". People can convert to Judaism if they wish and a child of a Jewish man with a non-Jewish mother is not Jewish.

However, they at least used to be separated enough from society that they developed distinguishable traits (I'm not talking about people whose mothers or grandmothers converted, I'm talking about a population that isolates itself from non-Jewish intermarriage for fifty generations).

I bitch about the fact that I wasn't born 200 years later.

Except that there are no cases of that ever happening. And even if there were, it wouldn't be a 'Jewish race', it would merely be a 'Those guys who were schmucks and kept themselves exclusive for fifty generations' race or a 'Those guys with six fingers' race.

My little brother has been stealing from me for quite some time. All pocket change and small bills, but it comes out to over 100 dollars. I have no idea how I'm going to get it back from that mother****ing deadbeat chav asshole but rest assured I will. If he wasn't family and if I knew my mom wouldn't end up paying for it all there'd be bleach in his gas tank. Is it wrong to wish emphesema on someone when they smoke in your room and hack lung better all damn day long on your off shift?

snuzi 01-07-2007 08:43 PM

I hate it when people try to influence my decisions. I'd rather make my own decision than get feedback. It just really gets on my nerves when people put things in my head that make me question what I'm doing or thinking about. It messes with me, and doesn't help one bit.

Nate 01-08-2007 03:15 AM

So when you come up with a plan to murder your best friend for borrowing twenty bucks and never paying you back, you don't want us to talk you out of it?

snuzi 01-08-2007 09:07 AM

I wouldn't in the first place, so no one would need to talk me out of it :p.

When it comes to my decisions, I think them through thoroughly, and don't allow any emotion to influence a decision I have to make. That's why it messes with me when people try to give me their opinions on my decision. It makes me question myself over and over, confusing me, when I already had everything thought out and organized in the first place.

Bullet Magnet 01-08-2007 09:54 AM

Yeah. Sorry about that.

Nate 01-08-2007 01:50 PM

Still, I don't think anyone can ever really be 100% sure that they're making the right decision. There have certainly been times when I was sure I was right to do something until a friend talked me out of it - and now I'm glad they did.

Statikk HDM 01-08-2007 03:15 PM

I used to think of it all the good looking waitresses at where I work as a benefit but now its more of a burden. Especially this great looking 30 something server. Jesus, she pretty much knocks me out every time she bends over to get forks. I get so stupid around her, too. Its very embarassing.

I always have to be 100% sure. That's the only way I can make a rational decision. If I were to just leap into a situation without thinking it through thoroughly, weighing the pros and cons, I would only feel stupid afterwards. So, I've always thought it's a better idea to think everything through until I feel that I'm right. It doesn't matter to me whether or not a friend of mine disagrees with what I'm about to do. As long as I think things through carefully, everyone else's feedback is only a burden.

That's just how my mind works.

aaj111 01-08-2007 03:43 PM

Why does the girl I like have to act like whore, do drugs and ignore me all the sudden... Damn her hide!

Whats up with airline peanut bags anyway, they have like 5 peanuts in them...

Sorry, let me rephrase: a person may be 100% sure but that doesn't mean that they are right. Which is why I rely on my friends to call me out when I'm about to do something stupid.

Counter-question: Why do you like a girl who acts like a whore, does drugs, ignores you and obviously doesn't have any brains? Moreover forces you to damn her hide?

You're right about the peanut thing though...

I actually was asking myself the same thing when I read that post :p.

Nothing like a venerial diseased crackho to call your own.

I'm serious. Pay her in talcalm powder?

Statikk HDM 01-09-2007 01:12 PM

All of these commercials with potato chip companies, potato chip companies, bragging about how they use 100 percent sunflower oil, or don't have trans fats, or are baked are getting to me. There needs to be a potato chip company that revels in how basic and unhealthy the product is. Potato+Lard+Salt=Delicious. The recipe doesn't need to be changed.

Bullet Magnet 01-09-2007 02:14 PM

Ah, but if recipes were not changed, we'd become a race of spheroids.

Arxryl 01-09-2007 03:51 PM

And is that such a bad thing? ;)

I hate it when people ignore you and/or don't listen to you when you ask them something or tell them to do something that they need to do. It gets really annoying and I wish I could shout into their ears with a megaphone.

skillya_glowi 01-09-2007 04:51 PM

What I really hate is when you're talking to someone, and while you're talking to them, that person turns and starts talking to someone else. Happens rarely, but when it does, I just wanna twist their neck...

God I'm a violent person...

Bullet Magnet 01-09-2007 04:58 PM

Doesn't it just irritate you when people get their taxonomy wrong? A little generic guys, please.

I didn't know all of that before. But I kinda knew something was up.

I was just bitching at that the other day!! lol. I was like, What the hell is sunflower oil? I also hate it when they say 100% same taste! It's not... Don't lie to me.

Actually, that happens quite often to me. It makes me want to harm the person severely. I also hate it when you've started talking, and the person cuts in out of nowhere, obviously hearing that you were talking, but changing the subject and not acknowledging that they blatantly ignored you. A friend of mine does that everyday and it makes me want to strangle him.

Bullet Magnet 01-09-2007 07:51 PM

There is a way to do that without irritating people, and that's charisma. A simple example is putting your arm around or behind the person whom you aren't directly addressing, so that they feel included.
