Spirrow 12-15-2006 07:28 PM

Tennesee, where I want to live.

skillya_glowi 12-15-2006 07:33 PM

Moscow, where I want to live. Again.

...Well, this is fun.

Spirrow 12-15-2006 07:37 PM

New York City, which I predict will go down in flames in a special event
in 2015.

skillya_glowi 12-15-2006 07:38 PM

Wala Wala.

snuzi 12-15-2006 07:43 PM

Poland, where my family came from.

Also, this is a bit late, but I thought you might be Russian, Skillya. You look it :p

skillya_glowi 12-15-2006 07:43 PM

...Oh.
And considering I had an avatar that said "Do Not Gabble/Gossip/Blab/whatever" in Russian.

Ukraine, where my father comes from.

snuzi 12-15-2006 07:45 PM

Colombia, where I was born.

Well, I can't read Russian, or recognize it for that matter, so I wouldn't have known that.

skillya_glowi 12-15-2006 07:46 PM

SOUTH AMERICANS! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Or wait, do you mean Columbia the city?
Or is the country spelled with an "o"?

snuzi 12-15-2006 07:48 PM

Technically, I'm not South American. I'm 100% European. I was just born there, is all. And yes, it is the country.

skillya_glowi 12-15-2006 07:48 PM

Oh.
OK.
I'm 100% European too! Yaaaay!

EDIT: Aw, come on. It used to be more fun when we were leading an off-topic conversation on the sidelines, now we're just naming random countries and our associations with them.

snuzi 12-15-2006 07:49 PM

Awesome! European Pride! Whoo!

skillya_glowi 12-15-2006 07:51 PM

Darn my combination of an English/Russian/Spanish/French speaker which gives me a weird accent.

snuzi 12-15-2006 07:53 PM

Oooh, you have an accent?

Unfortunately, I only speak Polish, English, and some French.

skillya_glowi 12-15-2006 07:54 PM

Yes. Well, you can't really tell at first, but when you're almost quadrilingual, it gets difficult.

I only know how to say Good Evening in Polish. That's it.

Oh, and I forgot. I know a few words in Dutch. But I still can't form sentences beside "Where is something" or "What is something" or "When is something" or "Who is someone". And I can tell the time and date.

snuzi 12-15-2006 07:58 PM

Haha that's freaking awesome :D

I wish that I could speak some other languages, but if I learned any more, I'd probably begin to slowly forget the ones I've already learned :p

skillya_glowi 12-15-2006 08:02 PM

Yeah, that's the problem. I'm having the worst sorts of problems with Russian, I mean, I understand it well, but I have a feeling I have the most awful accent, and sometimes I can't remember simple words...THOUGH I REMEMBER THEM IN OTHER LANGUAGES! That is so frustrating. Forgetting my native language........................

And what really gets my goat is that my friend who's been here for just as long as I have and is also Russian, and she has no accent at all and has no problems speaking.

/whining

snuzi 12-15-2006 08:03 PM

That is so weird because I have the same problem! I forget some of the simplest words in Polish and I feel that I don't know it as well as I used to. It really bugs me.

And wow, we really kinda started spamming the crap out of this topic, didn't we?

skillya_glowi 12-15-2006 08:04 PM

Yeeahh...we should get back on topic....

Still, you know what? I think that we should have a thread that had the properties of a normal conversation, where we aren't required to stay on topic and when the discussion can go any way it has to. But that would immediately be closed.

snuzi 12-15-2006 08:05 PM

Definitely, before the admins close it or we get warned :p

Anyways...

Snapple.

Spirrow 12-15-2006 08:06 PM

Makes me wonder why I never bothered learning fluent german. It can come in handy.

Edit:
Answer: Apple Snaps or however you spell it.

skillya_glowi 12-15-2006 08:06 PM

Spirrow 12-15-2006 08:09 PM

skillya_glowi 12-15-2006 08:17 PM

snuzi 12-15-2006 08:19 PM

Goodnight :)

And for anyone who's still out there:

Spirrow 12-15-2006 08:19 PM

Ah, come on we want you to have a few more beers with your buddies
before you log off. Nooooo.

Nighttime.
