That also gave me another idea - would we be able to leave the OWF stories open for other people to make, keeping all the characters to the same ideas? In the end we'd have a big collection. Maybe the stories would be based on the writer's character's point of view (as in, as mitsur was writing, it mainly followed mitsur, because mitsur knows himself best). I've wanted to start a bit of comedy writing, and I just thought of a funny plot...

People will just thrust everyone into a stupid situation, or reuse the same plot, or make themselves seem better than they are, or make the users they don't like look stupid or whatever.

Aye I do get what you're getting at. Though I don't know why people would want to portray themselves better than they are, it detracts from comedic values, and wouldn't look right in a story. A good point is repetetiveness (if that's a word) though, there would have to be a limited number of stories at some point. I'm not sure how many people would want to write their own though. If your next one is soon, though, I would certainly prefer to read yours than to do my own, I don't think I could write as good as you :)

But I get what you mean. too many stories would take away from the glory and the originality of the first untold story. But nonetheless, I can't wait to see what you're going to write next!

I know how to use Game Maker, though, so if enough people were interested I could always handle that part; the part I don't like is making sprites :p
But I wasn't really thinking of just these chapters you've written, I was thinking of a game that's based on the general idea of this story (with the whole forum thing and stuff - and you can't forget the humour! :p) but with a different story instead. And I figured that, seeing as this is the ODDWORLD forums, perhaps it could be an Oddworld styled game, like the original two. Of course, it would be pretty hard to get the graphics the same, but considering it's supposed to be humourous I don't think there'd be any harm in making it a bit more cartoony than the Oddworld games were :p

I mean, we could even do something like say, the n00bs have captured most of the forum members and enslaved them, so you have to go through their fortress of d00m and rescue as many forum members as possible or something like that. Get what I'm saying? ;)

I think you, Mitsur, would probably be best for making a storyline for it, though :D (if you wanted to, that is) Maybe I should make a thread to see what interest there is and to get ideas?

First things first.

Gamemaker thing sounds cool, except that it would'nt make much sense for their to be a game based on this. Be kind weird to the average forum member. Still, I think it could be worth a shot, when we all have time.

Webcomic also sounds cool, as long as people make it. Maybe base it on the story itself, or I could supply material, or everyone can submit idea. I dunno.

As for the god powers, they go to the writer by default. As does the god suit. ;)

Well, on the average keyboard, the "1" key and the "!" key oare on the same little thing. So, when the little buggers are trying to type extremely fast and put multiple exclamation marks in their post, they seem to forget the shift button a "few" times.

You could also go back and make a "director's cut" of the story even though it's not a film. Or more logical just add like a prologue multiple epilogues for several characters. Heh I did enjoy my little fun sub plot with Rexy though. ;)

Well, my status as a forum lurker is now obvious to me. Probably it's because I've only an hour ago discovered the topic, but nevermind. 'Twas good, and funny. It's funny, this is the only forum I've been able myself to visit on a regular basis.
