Eragon - OH. MY. GOD. Best freaking movie ever! If you have only one movie to see before you die, see this one. It gave me the HUGEST sex crave for WoW.

Nice to know someone liked it.

Hobo 01-02-2007 02:28 AM

I just saw: Lots of xmas films

Monsters Inc is a good film is what i learned.

Munch's Master 01-02-2007 05:33 AM

I don' even want to go near Eragon. It doesn't appeal to me in the slightest, and although I'm probably wrong, the first impression the trailer gave me was of a Lord of the Rings ripoff.

Nemo 01-02-2007 08:11 AM

You must have never read the book Eragon.

Well, neither have I. It's not a LOTR rip-off.

Leto 01-02-2007 01:34 PM

It's just a very cliche to-the-formula piece of fantasy crap.

Nate 01-02-2007 02:01 PM

My feelings are as follows: if a trailer makes a film look crap, then god knows what the film itself will be like. Amazingly, one of the reviews I heard said pretty much the same thing.

I always find it incredible that so many great actors can end up in such a crap film.

Arxryl 01-02-2007 04:01 PM

I saw Night at the Museum recently and I enjoyed it. I thought it had it's funny parts and it had a good message in it as well for it being a family film.

Patrick Vykkers 01-02-2007 05:35 PM

This is somewhat embarrasing to say, but I recently saw Happy Feet. And liked it. And watched it twice. And yet, I love Salad Fingers. I'm a contradictory man, and like it that way.

Reptile 01-04-2007 06:20 AM

The six o clock news.

Leto 01-04-2007 12:32 PM

Watch all of the Nathan Barley dvd. Drop your Chris Morris expectations, and it's well good. 12 cocks out of 11.

I watched quite a few films while I was on vacation. I just didn't get a chance to type 'em up on here, so I will do so now :p.

The Bourne Identity - A very good movie, in my opinion. Not only was it action-packed (very much to my liking :p), but it had a very good story as well, which made it a very interesting and equally thrilling film.

The Bourne Supremecy - Good as well, although I preferred the first one.

A Short Film About Killing - This one was a Polish film that I thought was pretty good. It followed a damaged man, a taxi driver, and a lawyer, and as the movie progressed, it showed how their paths eventually crossed. I thought it was pretty darn good, since it showed how a murderer is not born a murderer, but shaped into one.

Forrest Gump - I really loved this film. I've watched it before, but not entirely. The first time I watched it in its entirety was in Poland. It kinda depressed me though, towards the end, since I felt very bad for Forrest when he lost Jenny. It nearly made me cry, actually, which is odd since very few movies have had that type of impact on me. All in all, it was really good.

Platoon - I've heard good things about this film, but saw it for the first time while I was on vacation. In my opinion, it was fantastic, since it showed the Vietnam War for what it really was: horrific.

Lost In Translation - Another fantastic film, although it also depressed me, since it made me think about my girlfriend, and how far away from her I was at the time.

I think that's about all. I also watched a little bit of Munich, but I didn't get far enough into it to form an opinion about it :p.

Yeah, it was a good film but they should have gotten rid of the chick much sooner. She was like a pair of concrete shoes, dragging Matt Damon and the film down with her.

Which made the beginning of Supremacy all that much sweeter...

snuzi 01-08-2007 07:59 AM

I agree. He wouldn't have gotten into so many unpleasant predicaments if she didn't tag along.

Nemo 01-08-2007 07:23 PM

I saw Silent Hill.
I loved it. It actually scared me without monsters jumping out of the corner and yelling "boo!"

Leto 01-08-2007 08:15 PM

Thought The Libertine was decent. Nothing quite like seeing Johnny pissing himself and looking like a zombie.

OANST 01-08-2007 08:15 PM

I saw Munich today. It was pretty good. I said so, thus it must be true.

Nate 01-08-2007 08:35 PM

Gotta love the closing shot of the film though. Nothing like a bit of jarring yet ultimately irrelevant bit of symbolism to make your film more meaningful.

really??? I didn't like it at all, not true to the games.

Sadly..... I just saw Eragon last weekend and it was the worst movie I've seen in my entire life.

but I did see A Scanner Darkly also, and I liked that one a lot, it had a lot of actors I like in it. Plus the story was AWESOME, I've never heard of the book though before the movie. Have any of you?

Rex Tirano 01-09-2007 07:43 AM

Me and some friends watched Silent Hill a few weeks back. We ended up turning it off because it was so bad.

Yes, I've heard quite a bit of that lately. I've heard that it was better when it was called "Star Wars".

I watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the Tim Burton one) yesterday. It was pretty good, Gene Wilder was so good in the 1970 version, he was hard to top. I think Johnny Depp did a good job though. Really, there was nothing wrong with it...it was just different from the original.

Havoc 01-15-2007 09:46 AM

I'm never very fond of remakes, hence I haven't seen the new version yet. Might do at some point though.

I've been downloading Dragonball GT, I missed it back in the days where it was on TV so yea, just doing some catching up :).

Saw Happy Feet a while back.

By far the most sexually suggestive kids movie ever.

Havoc 01-15-2007 10:48 AM

Sexually suggestive? O.o

snuzi 01-15-2007 11:10 AM

The Crow. I watched it with my girlfriend yesterday, since we both wanted to see how stupid it was. It did not disappoint. Horrible acting, horrible story, horrible characters, etc. It made us laugh though. Too bad it wasn't a comedy, or it would have done very well.

Rex Tirano 01-15-2007 11:54 AM

I wanted to go and see Happy Feet. I got a free Happy Feet teddy though with some fabric softner. How hardcore. :P

I can't wait to rent out Children of Men. I never saw it in the cinema [it never showed in my town] and it looks so good. XD

Oh and Rob, Dragonball GT is crap. :P I used to be a DragonBall Z fan girl though. Wooh What'shisface!

I saw V for Vendetta. I can't see why the critics would slam it so, I thought it was fantastic. Actually, the fact that it appealed to me so much is worrying...

Nate 01-17-2007 02:06 AM

No need to worry; I'm yet to meet someone who didn't love it.

See, I was excited about the new one because I never liked Gene Wilder. Johnny Depp was still not quite to the level of my mental Willy but he was much closer.

On the other hand, it disappointed me that they changed stuff from the books in order to distance themselves from the first movie, like the Oompa Loompa song or some of the famous lines like "I want an Oompa Loompa now, daddy!".

Hobo 01-17-2007 10:17 AM

How can you not like Gene Wilder? Except for the scary hair.

No need to worry

Actually I was referring to the terrorism against my own country.

Leto 01-17-2007 01:46 PM

Pfft, it's fiction, get over it.

I thought the new Charlie movie was not good at all. Yet another Tim Burton movie to avoid.
