Since when have tweens been 14-17? I consider thems to be teenagers. Tweens are prepubescent.

Ah, between 8-12. I always thought it was 14-17. I haven't said it in a conversation or anything so this faux pas hasn't bit me in real life but in the digital world? Oops. Anyhow, point stands, 8th grade you can dress however you please.

Barbie is way hotter than Bratz dolls.
>_> <_< |
Not since they gave her a breast reduction.
I always had a love-hate relationship with Ken though... |
Garbble. The dolls are not being targetted to middle schoolers. Maybe a little, but their main target, the bull's eye, is the younger ones. The ones who would still be playing with baby dolls and Barbies. The 6-12 year olds.
I have a lot more respect for Barbie. She may dress a little skanky too, but she's always had better goals to teach the kids. She's been a astronaut, a doctor, etc., etc. The most the Bratz dolls will ever live up to are things like gothic hookers and belly dancers. Hah, Nate, about the belly fat/hipsters problem. If the girls can not fulfill one of those, they tend to compensate that by trying to do even more of the latter two. Then you just have more squishy girls with more make-up, more revealing clothes, etc. |
No, they dolls are teens as said by MGA and though the target is 6 and up they are clearly trying to crack the older market. Also, this isn't some stupid little thing flying under the radar. This Bratz line is largely replacing Barbie and will make MGA well over 3 billion dollars this year.
