Not quite sure. I may be wrong, its just a feeling.
I feel like they have been there, done that and that they would'nt go back to games on PCs (or Macs. Just the computer in general.)

I'm operating in 16 colours. There's not enough mojo in this box to display file logos. I was referring specifically to top-of-the-range computers people were using as a premise to argue for PC versions of the games, but to be honest I've no idea how the latest generation of consoles compare to what level of personal computer technology.

like the 360, it's a computer really. but you can't like surf the net, or write emails to people. it's a computer that is meant to function hi-detailed graphics, and other stuff. But the 360 is really meant to handle hi-detailed, and complex programmed games, and to store memory that some computers now STILL can't handle.The 360 is basically a unique Computer. and it isn't just the 360 but i heard the PS3 will be almost equal to a, so-called, Super-Computer!!! but in the end, all these platforms are computers.

Well of course. I'm not saying video games will work if you insert them in anything other than a computer. :p I know the 360 is undoubtedly more powerful than some PCs, but if the top-of-the-range PCs are more powerful than any gaming console there'd be little need to produce a game so high in quality that it has to be lowered in quality for the other platforms.

I know what you mean, I read your post. It's just that, in two or three years, an average computer will be able to keep up with the consoles, and high-end ones will be better than them. So producing a higher visual qulaity game, even if it's something as misinscule as a resolution bump, will give incentive to the PC crowd to buy it up.

But yeah, I suppose if it looks good enough, there's no need for better graphics. After all, there are always new tricks to be used to make great graphics. Take Ninja Gaiden, for example. That looks better than some next-gen games.

okay, max true of course, but remember that computers make the systems we have today, it's the mother of any other machine. Hell! computers make computers, and without powerful computers we might not really get anywhere, though without hi-tech games there would be no use for powerful computers .

Cullen i completely agree, the only problem would be the writing pace, to come here would take hours trying to write the site name in. so they would need like a little keyboard.

On, no, no. Dont get me wrong, I LOVED Stranger's Wrath. It was one of the top 4 games I have ever played. I really DID love that game, I just think I would have liked it much more if the creatures who saved Stranger from his death, would have been Abe & Munch.

That would be one of the poorest decisions Lorne could have made with Stranger. For one- Abe and Munch have nothing to do with Stranger or the Steef. Abe's busy saving the Mudokons and Munch needs to repopulate his species. Sounds like the two have their hands full, they don't need some other guy's fate added to the list.

Second of all, Munch wouldn't really be able to do much of anything useful except help Stranger later on in the river. Munch is pretty fucking useless on land, and a pathetic fighter (he can't even attack someone without the aid of a damn softy drink or an army of fuzzles). Abe himself is a clutz and would most likely give away their positions before they even had a chance to attack the Outlaws.

No, Abe and Munch have no place in Stranger's plight, and never will. I know you have a chubby for the two, and that you seem to place Abe and Munch at the center of the Oddworld Universe for some reason, but let's face the obvious: it will NEVER happen. They've just two characters, they aren't the only heroes on Oddworld.

I agree with dipstikk. Abe and Munch are only two characters and cullen thinks they are the center of the universe. How would they save him any way? Munch would probably give their position a away with that annoying hopping sound. But I thought Stranger was very good and very odd game.

Well, Gabbits do breed at the source of the River Mongo every year, so it's not like they never enter Western Mudos. It's not known whether they cope very well on the land in the desert, though. As you suggest, it wouldn't be the safest place fo them, given their abilities.

That said, Gabbits must have evolved amphibeously for a reason. What do Gabbits do on land?

I haven't yet been able to play Stranger's Wrath due to my Xbox crapping up on me, so I can't really say whether or not I enjoyed the game. Judging on the vast majorities opinion of the game though, I think it's safe to say I have nothing to worry about and I won't be dissapointed.

However, some of the character designs I have seen for the game have not impressed me too much; not so much the Steef, but Clakkerz and live ammunition such as Chipunkz etc just seem way too close to Earth creatures for comfort and really don't give off that Oddworld vibe.

Munch's Oddysee was undoubtedly a fairly bland, average game in itself, but the character design and world (within the FMVs) all had that familiar feel to it that we know and love. It's just a shame Lorne was forced to speed up progress on Munch.

Oh, and finally, Abe is not the be all and end all of Oddworld. Get over it.

I, personally, loved Stranger's Wrath. I can't really decide which game I like more: AO or SW, but then again, think about it. The style of the first two games is incredibly different than the style of SW. To me, that's like comparing Final Fantasy to Metroid Prime... they're just two completely different types of games.

For some odd reason, I never got into Abe's Exoddus much. I never gave it much time, though, so I probably need to sit down and play through it. Abe's Oddysee just appeals to me more, somehow.

But don't forget that back when the Gabbits bred regularly at Ma'Spa, Western Mudos wouldn't have been a desert yet as the river had not yet been dammed.

Yes, but we don't know how long ago Sekto dammed the river. It may only take a few years to turn farmland into a desert.

Or, possibly the gabbits haven't been to Ma'Spa in a long time. Perhaps they found alternative breeding locations when they couldn't go where they wanted.
