My penis hid when I saw that. I kid you not, I heard it crying.

Clay, the Brachiosaurus altithorax (played by Kevin Michael Richardson) . At 60 feet tall, and weighing over 50,000 lbs, he doesn't have many natural enemies. He does, however, have one particularily stubborn thorn in his side (or rather, on his back); a hypochondriacal, pantophobic Dryosaurus named Rhygel (played by Dana Snider), who clings to Clay for protection and support. Clay: "Damn, son. You got legs, why don't you get off and walk?" Rhygel: "Are you kidding? There are things out there that could eat me! Do you know what I am? An entree waiting to happen! I just know that the moment I touch ground, I'll be picked off by a fucking ceratosaur." Clay: "All right, all right. Clill, Rhy. Don't go havin' a heart attack on me. You know, if you died up there, it's almost impossible to get your carcass off." Rhygel: "Oh, thank you. Thank you very much for putting that in my mind. You know, I was just at my happy place, and you had to bring that up." Navado: "You know, if you don't SHUT UP with the whole whiney Mort Goldman routine, I'll be the one who kills you!" I am, regrettably, unable to design Rhygel until I find a good picture of a Dryosaurus skull. The internet is so huge, yet I've only found one. |
Nice. I like the dinosaur protective thing too, very luke warm. ;)

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...ikk2/Rigel.jpg
Rigel is a Dryosaurus altus who is afraid of... well, damn near everything. The only creatures he really trusts are herbivores. He saw his entire family get eaten by an allosaurus fragilus, and he lives under the dilusion that if he were ever to touch a foot to the ground, he would swiftly and promptly be carried off by a predator, torn in half, and eaten. This fear is somewhat justified, considering that Dryosaurs have no natural defenses against big theropods, besides their speed. He rides on Clay's back for protection. http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/1...colored4yk.jpg Clay's color scheme. |

Page one. I might need to hire a letterer, I'm terrible at it. EDIT: Spiced up the dialogue. |

All o' yer pics are great Dip as always I  for yer talent:D those dinosaurs are so cute:D

PAGE TWO. The rodent is called a "Multi," which stands for some big, scientific name that I can neither spell or pronounce. Multi works fine. Dialogue coming soon. |
Enthralling.
I hope the raptor will get the rat ! |
She's not a raptor. Read the first page, it tells you what she is on the first panel: she's a Compsognathus.
(Comp-sog-NAH-thus.) |
Comp-sog-nah-thus or whatever. I like her anyway  she looks dangerous.

Great comic there Dip! I like it, post some more:D...please?:fuzzle:

Thanks, guys!
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...kk2/Cerato.jpg Ceratosaurus nasicornus, eased down a bit so I don't have to memorize all of those spike patterns on the first one. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...ado_infant.jpg An infant Navado. There's gonna be a scene later on when Navado meets up with Chet, where Navado has a flashback to his early childhood. http://img86.imageshack.us/img86/448...reduced4sq.jpg Chet as he would currently look in the comic. I think the back toe claws are too large. |
Wow, you really know your shit when it somes to comics! I like it, are you planning to do it in color? (sorry if that was a dumb question)

Yes, it is true, yet we still watch it......:crying:

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...o_hindleg1.jpg
Scientists say that it would be entirely possible for a sauropod to rear up ans support its weight on its hind legs (momentarily). What a sight this must have been, to see something go from 65+ feet long, to at least 45+ feet tall (not counting the tail). Paintings like Gurche does really amaze me, which led to this. |
Your artwork never ceases to amaze. I'm loving el comico so far.
If you like, I could try my hand at the lettering some time? |
Let me get my Wacom tablet back from the repair, then I'll contact you when page 3 is done.
It would be a great help if you could. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...do_Vs_Allo.jpg The full shot. I'll edit the Allosaur with the Wacom. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1.../Scalecopy.jpg A rough size chart, compairing the characters to each other, with humans thrown in to give you a relitive idea of the size of the characters compaired to you. As I complete the character restorations with the skeletons, I'll add them in in place of the skeletons that are there now (since I'll be using the ones on the chart as a guide). Navado is a bit too big on the chart. I forgot to take into account that the tail on the skeleton is curved down. |
I've got a lot of pictures this time. I just got my Wacom back, so I've been busy.
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...nea_fulbod.jpg Zinnea's final design. I moved the teeth up to the front of her jaw (thought it'd look cuter that way). I also decided to make her "beak" into something more fleshy, maybe just a patch of differently colored skin that would become a beak in a few hundred-million more years. I also made her mouth more of a... well, a mouth. That is to say, I removed that little spike from the back of her jawline so I could work with her expressions more. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...do_fullbod.jpg Navado, drawn from a skeletal. Colored version is done, but I'm trying to decide on what kind of pattern to put along his back. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...kk2/Campto.jpg Camptosaurus dispar, a 24-foot-long Ornithopod, related to Rigel's species, the dryosaurs. May make a pair of Camptosaur teenagers as characters. |
The comics and their characters are good as usual. But the Dunderville characters... Rated EG (Extremely Great)! Good to hear that you're making a webtoon of Dunderville, I liked the script you posted earlier (lawn-mowing and stuff).
|
Thanks, Dripik! The cartoon is still in the conceptual phase, but we'll be underway soon.
http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/7...inished9uq.jpg http://img240.imageshack.us/img240/2...reduced2no.jpg I've updated pages 1 and 2, so Zinnea looks like how she'll be appearing from now on. I'm also putting in a lot of panels on page 3. I want to get the rodent sequence DONE with, so we can get on to the parts I really love: The Allosaurus Chase, and Earl V.S. Navado. |
Yeash...you get the lil' one in so many situations, Dippy...
Poor thing...Can't imagine gettin' ripped in two while alive...>.< But the comic's great! I love it! And yer still makin' me jealous. Can't do that good. |
Haha! Thank you, Dark Elite H2. I'll try to downplay my genious.:p
http://img78.imageshack.us/img78/167...inished8zv.jpg Okay, biiiig note to myself and the Jurassic faithful- I used way too much gray in this one. It became a hastle, and made the background confusing. I need to lessen the shadows on page 4. Also, Zinnea is off-model in some places, in terms of how thick her head appears. She's got it at a 3/4 view up until panel 11, which is way too short. I can probably go back in and fix that. Anyway, the hunter is about to become the hunted here. I'm so excited about finally getting to draw Fran and Earl! |
Cool! I like the expressions of the characters :D
|
Yeh...maybe a lil' too much grey, but I don't think anyone cares.
Well...I don't. Yer drawings are fantastic, Dip. I guess I'm an envious goose against you. :p |
http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/4...reduced2wp.jpg
It's came out really big, but here's the size chart for the characters. And because I'm sure nobody can see her well, here's Zinnea's color scheme. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1..._final_dev.jpg |
Zinnea's color scheme looks great :D The shiny green colored feathers are cool!
|
Yup.
And Zinnea's itsy-bisty! No wonder she's the smallest dinosaur in teh world! Great color scheme, also, Dip! |
