Well, I wouldn't say the CORE of their beliefs was sensible. They were virtually obsessed with purifying the world of its "less superior" races and then re populating its own race, the Aryans. By "core beliefs" i didn't mean what you have just brought up (though some of what you said could be debated by a few people i know) what with the execution of thousands of Jews (though, again, i know a fair few people who'd debate that happened to the extent it did) and all. Oh, PA, I mean no offense to you, but think about what you're saying when you say we should simply nuke "the terrorists." Thousands have died in this war--Troops from various countries, the terrorists, and the innocent. But a nuclear bomb wouldn't solve anything in the name of world peace. More innocents than anyone would die. And not only that, if it were like the atomic bomb:

~Radiation exposure would continue killing thousands that weren't killed immediately.
~Suffering would continue for years because of deformed babies and sterility.
~And high levels of cancer would also be around for years.
Etc.

Future generations will definitely be suffering from the mistakes in this war that have already been done; let's not add these sort of sufferings to the list.

And where may I ask, are these terrorists you speak of, do they have their own country? If that were true, then you would have a logical arguement. A nuclear bomb creates massive devistation, we cannot just bomb an entire country full of innocent people to get rid of a few who want to kill us. The long term effects this would have on the environment is reason enough not resort to such reckless means. We need to stop thinking about the fast, yet unlasting security we might be afforded for a few decades, and think forward to what consequences that action may hold for future generations.

It worked in WWII, because we had a real enemy that was organzied and governed by the rules of war. There were powerful leaders behind those decisions. Terrorists on the other hand could be pretty much anybody who attempts to create terror. You should really think about that statement, as if you were one of the many innocent civilians in Iraq. Would you be willing to sacrafice your life to get rid of those terrorists? Yeah, let's just go into every country with terrorists and bomb them. We would kill more innocent people then the terrorists could ever dream of. Millions of new terrorists would then be created in the process, fueling so much American hatred, it would only be a matter of time until we piss the wrong people off.

It's not that easy, you can't just destroy the terrorists, you need to find out who is a terrorist, and who isn't. They don't wear name tags. When we do find and capture these people, they are taken care of, we aren't letting them go.


They question the actions taken by the Bush administration because, much like the war on drugs, this is a war we cannot win. You can drop all the bombs you want, but you cannot destroy what other's believe. There will always be another person in the world who wants to spread terror.
