just to prove they were working on it and that it wasn't an April fools joke...

Well I knew that already. I guess that's for the skeptics, huh? Oh well... Man, I wish they could have finished Fangus before breaking up. This came without warning, and I really wish they would have came out and said "Fangus will be our last Oddworld game that we will make jointly" or something similar. Then they could do what they want, as long as I got what I was hyping myself up for.
|
Thanks for the proof Xav. The question is whether they will be finishing it off now or not. My vibe is that they will, because why would they release information to the press, only to kill it a week later?
BTW those sites were great. I love to see how they put together levels. That's the sort of job I want to have one day. Fangus looks extremely industrial. And there are wolvarks there, although I guess they could just be place-fillers for some new enemies. |
what?
|
Not in that picture, the pictures in the links on the last page. They had early designs for the Fangus stages. Check em out.
|
I hope you didn't just find those images ;) They've been circulating for a while now. The last image looks like a scene from Stranger's Wrath, not too mention it and the previous one bear the name 'wolvark' in there filename.

The only thing the really have to save from this project is the evil sheep things. They rule.

but I had to ask permission to post his personal site first, that's what took some time. reminder, only the first 3 shots are from fangus |
Not to be a jerk but I don't think any of those were from Fangus. I'm fairly certain that they were all from SW. I could be wrong.
|
why are the names of the files beginning with Fangus then?
I tought it was pretty obvious |
i'm realy sorry but i am a little bit lost too. what i looked at were the disigner procces and they looked like levels from SW and i couldn't see anything saying fangus. but i did see a shape of a glockon though, in one of the pictures.
|
They are also listed as first area and hold out (this room is also seen in the paper layout). It also looks like those are place-holder guns around the crates. It's obvious these two areas never appeared in Stranger's Wrath, so all signs point to Fangus.
Click on the pictures, the URL's for the first three images have the word "fangus" in them. |
You mean these three?
http://jamesondurall.com/Images/Desi...aperLayout.JPG http://jamesondurall.com/Images/Desi..._FirstArea.jpg http://jamesondurall.com/Images/Desi...us_HoldOut.jpg At first I thought those were SW, but I don't remenber seesing those levels. |
yes that's exactly it Oddish, all the files names have fangus in the beginning and aren't in Stranger.
thus, I think they could be some from fangus :p |
It would appear that I was wrong. I guess it's pretty obvious. Obviously.
|
Man, that first one really gets me excited. I like the paper layout one. It makes me think of the possibilities of what the game might play like/look like. Oh well...
|
On the first image, the bottom small sketch looks there two glukkons :p And what do they mean by "Catwalks"? Prehaps Fangus's cat like feature :p
And level that reminds me of the inside of the Slig Tower. |

|
They dont look like SW to me. But I'm no expert on the paper drawings.
|
That would be because they're not from SW. They're from the early developments of Fangus.
...Which has been stated numerous times. |
I know that. I was simply reinforcing their point. Please quit judging before you know what you are talking about.
|
Guys try to be a little more friendly please...
|
Ok sorry Xav.
|
Yeah, I'll be good. :fuzemb:
|
Actually, the little orb in the top corner looks like the machine gun things from the Wolvark facility in SW. But it probably is from Fangus.
|
Im sure they wouldnt go too far into thoughts for this game unless they are going to make it. Supposedly they have had the plans to move to berkely and all for awhile.
EDIT: Sorry, this is a little off topic. |

Same here. Its the only thing I can think of that it would be.
