I Am Not Worthy

:

You know when you read the book it seems like you are almost in a dream

Now that's a great way to put it! I was dressed all gothic X-Mas morn, and when I unwrapped the book, I was actually SMILING! I read the whole book that day, and loved it. The images are so gorgeous and detailed. I am not worthy enough to touch it with my mortal hands. And same here, I don't think I've EVER taken such good care of a book... *Looks over shoulder at her burning math book*

but yeah, that Book made me Smile even more :D

Its a kind of mixture of overwhelling excitement and joy when you see that cardbord box that says /ballastic/ on the front of the box, then you tear into the box to see the great dream in your hands, it causes this kind of cold sore cracking smile that results in jumping around the room

Wil 01-02-2005 02:26 AM

...then you tear into the box...

I took care opening the box. Wouldn't want to damage the book. Not in a milliard years.

Scrab Watcher 01-02-2005 05:33 AM

My book was already damaged when I got it...one of it's corners was bent and squashed in the post...drat...

Awwww, that has to suck! I'm sorry that happened to you. :( It was very fortunate that mine was in top shape when it arrived. I was a bit worried because the delivery people in my town don't take care of anything, so mine could have just as easily been torn up as well!

Of corse I didn't actually tear into it, I got out me Operation board game, broke the twecers off and, with rubber gloves on, removed the almighty tome of greatness

Haha, good work.

Hey look, it's Xav's and my interview with the founder and director of Ballistic Publishing, Dr Mark Snoswell. :D Don't forget Alcar's interview with him, and Xav's and my interview with Oddworld Inhabitants's creative services manager Cathy Johnson.

Ooh, bad luck. I accidently dropped my book against my windowsill and there's a slight dent at the top. I think I dropped it because I was trying not to damage it in the first place. :(

The Shadowman 01-05-2005 03:34 PM

Interesting interview, it is very interesting! Incognito, that is a real down-er.

Oddish 01-06-2005 11:03 AM

Great find atusiya! Good work.

Well it was fun.

The Marching Mudokon 01-19-2005 05:56 PM

Is it true the limited edition version is signed by Lorne Lanning and Sherry Mckenna? Because someone is selling it on ebay and they say it is signed by Lorne and Sherry.

Nate 01-19-2005 07:53 PM

Not all of them. Maybe he was just able to meet them and get them to sign it. Probably a journalist.

The Marching Mudokon 01-20-2005 09:31 PM

Ok then, thanks for telling me NDW.

Leto 01-20-2005 11:26 PM

Or mabye he's talking about the 'Authentican Slip' thingie that says what Limited edition no. you got.

MY MUM GOT GREASE ON MY LIMITED EDITION! Must buy paperback to read, now!

The Marching Mudokon 01-21-2005 12:17 AM

Maybe. But all it says is that it's signed by Lorne Lanning and Sherry Mckenna.

sligster 01-21-2005 07:45 AM

mabey he got it from the G4 thing- like Oddguy.

People who answered a trivia question got a signed book

The Marching Mudokon 01-21-2005 03:55 PM

He could of. Also can anyone tell me when I should be getting my book? I live in Perth, Australia and Ballistic Publishing is in South Australia and I sent the money away on monday the 16th.

Leto 01-21-2005 06:42 PM

Took me 2 weeks to arrive, and I'm in NZ. So, mabye a couple more days?

(P.S, I had to go to the post office to pick it up because they're lazy peoples...)

The Marching Mudokon 01-21-2005 07:05 PM

Thanks, Super Munch.

The Marching Mudokon 01-22-2005 04:32 PM

I was wondering if the book has anything about Sligstorm?

Nepharski 01-22-2005 09:43 PM

Yesssssssssssssssssssssss! I just ordered it!

*Does the happy dance.*

The Marching Mudokon 01-22-2005 10:28 PM

What edition? Hardcover,soft or limited?

Leto 01-22-2005 11:17 PM

There is no reference to Sligstorm in the book, unfortunately. In any of the editions. but iif you intend to read the book without protected gloves, I suggest buying the soft-cover. :p

The Marching Mudokon 01-22-2005 11:30 PM

Too bad, I was hoping for something to do with Sligstorm.

Wil 01-23-2005 01:22 AM

I'm going to email Ballistic. This is no longer funny.

The Marching Mudokon 01-23-2005 01:44 AM

Why? Haven't you got your book yet?

Wil 01-23-2005 06:15 AM

No, I haven't.

Nepharski 01-23-2005 02:14 PM

:

What edition? Hardcover,soft or limited?

Harcover. No way am I shelling out 200-some-odd bucks for a fancy cover, no matter how much respect I have for the Oddworld crew.

Hardover is only about $10 more, and as hardcovers last longer than soft covers, they are a much better buy!

Side Note: Oddworld Inhabitants, I don't know if you go to these forums or not, but please bare in mind that if I run into your headquarters, expect an eccentric, "madman," running around, asking for signatures on his Art of Oddworld Inhabitants from everybody or whatnot. I just thought it fair to warn you in advance...
