How far into it are you now?

We just finished the second world last night. Haven't laughed like that at a game in ages!

It's a real masterpiece.

I've just finished the Mountain world and unlocked more levels. I currently have 4 Dragon Teeth. The only disappointment so far is the lack of skins for characters other than the Teensies.

Can you play as Uglette? Or Mr. Dark? Man, I'd love to play as Mr. Dark.

I haven't unlocked all of the skins, but no Uglette yet. Sadly Mr Dark doesn't make an appearance in this game. Dark Rayman is an unlockable skin, however, which more than compensates.

What?! I thought he was the antagonist. Fuck. And he was featured in one of the first trailers, there was a small bit of him where he stands on top of a stone surrounded by darktoons. Fuck Ubisoft, goddamnit.

It wouldn't be so bad if the antagonist and story weren't so fucking stupid. All of the backstory stuff that was hinted at is absent.

Don't let that put you off, though. It's a fucking brilliant platformer.

Yeah, uh, I don't know anyone who buys shiny platformers for the story.

I know it's all about the gameplay, but a story wouldn't hurt, would it?

Platformers generally never put emphasis on stories. After all, the gameplay is their primary element and as long as that is good then shit/weak stories can be forgiven.

Rayman Origins is getting to the point now where the difficult level is preventing me from enjoying the game...

If I ever have the patience to actually beat the game it will be a miracle!

I played on the demos of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D and Super Mario 3D Land. Both games are amazing. They play really well and the graphics are just fab. OoT 3D improves on the original and 3D land is like having Mario Galaxy in your pocket :)

I can't wait to get them at Christmas :) (I'm also getting Skyward Sword for XMas :))

I tried to play Rascal on Playstation again. horrible game. camera's always where it shouldn't be and very sluggish controls.

so I moved on to my Dreamcast and started Shenmue again. aaaah

I found Wario Land 3 in my garage. For a game in which you can't die, it's fucking hard.

What are you upto? I'm currently going through the second set of levels for each world. I just beat the boss of the Jungles.

You don't have to spoiler-tag that, the boss has been shown in at least two trailers.

That chase was a pain. You ought to try getting enough lums for the medal. It's infuriating.

I love Wario Land (Duh!) You played The Shake Dimention/Shake It!? Cause that game was a blast, I'm still stuck on it.

Best narration ever. The only reason I still play this game. The Mentor is officially my favourite character I'v never seen.

The announcements doesn't sound like The Mentor. I call him Moloch instead. Or maybe The Mentor just gets psyched up during battle.

EDIT: Also, APB Reloaded, an ambitious MMO/FPS/Racing Game that got canned has been relaunched on Steam as F2P. I'm not sure whether to try it or not. It looks like a fine game, but the character customisation (my gaming turn-on) looks frankly orgasmic. I'm worried I'd spend more time in that than the actual game.

Saints Row The Third

Only two hours in, but its pretty fun so far. I honestly didn't think I would customize as much as I have been doing. I made my car look like an evil Tron version of the Deckers vehicles. I thought it seemed pretty empty at first, then I saw I had to go through tutorials to unlock all the side stuff. Only thing that worries me so far is Im already 16% done says the game, I thought this was supposed to be a long game?

Super Meat Boy.

This is so much better than Rayman Origins as a platformer. The controls just make sense. Meat Boy moves exactly as you expect him to. The dynamic jump distance is better than any other I've ever used. This is the only game where I can confidently approach a jump through a space as high as the character.

So far I'm 70% of the way through the first world, having finished the light and dark worlds and two of the warp zones. I've unlocked level -1, but that's proving too challenging right now. I had to resort to using Jill to finish off the later levels in the dark world, much to the contempt of my ego.

I've made a small dent on the second world, but only just enough to have unlocked Jill. It took me about 8 minutes to actually figure out what her power was.

I've only been playing for a 80 minutes so far, but I've loved every one of those. I'm looking forward to more of this game.

I still think Rayman Origins is a better game, solely because it's more fun to play. While this is a grueling platformer with unparalleled physics, Origins is more fast paced and has a focus on creating intuitive, fluid gameplay. Origins also has better music and art.

I've just read the entire origins story of Rayman and Globox was cut from Rayman Origins? Then why is it still called RAYMAN ORIGINS!

Oh yeah and I've been playing Spiral Knights once again.

Isn't Spiral Knights... well, shit?

Not really. I played it for a few weeks and found it really enjoyable. It's a bit frustrating having to play with sucking idiots at first, but once you hit the second tier it gets much better. I grew bored of it before too long, though.
