What Ridg3 said. If you know the song's rubbish, then why would you enjoy it?

Nah, I get what you mean. I'm just questioning for reasons I don't know.

ANYWAYS, I'm seeing the Pixies tonight:

So excited.

FUCK YEA! How was it??

It was amazing! Before the show, they played clips of Un Chien Andalou, then ripped into a few b-sides, followed by Doolittle in its entirety. They even had short films playing in the background the for each song on Doolittle. After that, they went off stage and came back for the first encore, and played two more b-sides, one of which was a surf redux of Wave of Mutilation. I can safely say that was the most chill, relaxing experience I've had with music. Finally, they left again, and, for hte second encore, played Bone Machine, Where is my Mind, and Gigantic.

I almost cried during Where is my Mind, it was amazing. Highly recommend that anyone who is reading this goes to see them if they get the chance.

In a big Zeppelin mood today, thought I'd share this.

Mr. Bungle 04-20-2011 05:17 PM

One of my favourite song by one of my favourite bands:

I love the lyrics to this.

Happy Earth Day everyone :P

I found out about this composer by reading the obituaries in the newspaper. I have yet to listen to more of his music, but it so far sounds good.

JennyGenesis 04-22-2011 03:12 PM

Funny.....

Dynamithix 04-23-2011 01:22 AM

Don't stop me now is nice. It fit well in Shaun of the Dead.

Mr. Bungle 04-23-2011 10:04 AM

Ridg3, I owe you rep.

In regards to JennyGenesis' post:

I used to like Slipknot a few years ago, when I was 14 and full of angst. Also before I discovered "real" metal. Fear Factory is also an awesome band. Just giving my opinion.

Happy Earth Day everyone :P

Well done for posting my favourite song ever. EVER.

I saw him a few weeks back and he does the most kick ass live show. So so thankful to his audience. He's funny and an excellent musician to boot.

Also; he played Earth day, which had me in a seizure for 9 minutes.

Ridg3 04-24-2011 03:24 AM

No problem. Have to say that I'm insanely jealous that you went to see him, he's on my list to go see before either him or I kick the bucket. Hyped for Deconstruction and Ghost as well.

Turns out I'm pretty much addicted to Devin and he has to be probably the most innovative artist I've ever heard. It doesn't even sound as though I'm listening to a metal song when I listen to his work, just art appreciation.

EDIT: Holy shit Bungle, you're right. The guest artists are the tits. Akerfeldt, Ihsahn and Dirk Verbeuren. This album is gonna explode.

EDIT 2: My favorite Townsend track.

Mr. Bungle 04-24-2011 10:56 AM

I actually haven't heard very much of Devin Townsend's solo stuff. Only a few songs. I absolutely love this track, though:

Ridg3 04-24-2011 11:25 AM

I'm telling you, his solo work is a lot more better than Strapping (IMO anyways.)

Definitely one of modern day's greatest musicians.

Mr. Bungle 04-24-2011 11:26 AM

So I've heard, but City is a fucking amazing album. I'll check out his solo stuff soon.

Ridg3 04-26-2011 02:14 AM

Insomnium released their new single. Any fears of the album being not as good as the last album has been demolished. It sounds better, they just keep improving.

MeechMunchie 04-26-2011 02:01 PM

what is this i dont even

Oh, Save me Meat Boy, you’re the one that I need,
Dr. Fetus, he can’t beat us, but he’s making you bleed!
So won’t you save me, boy, I know you got what it takes,
It’s the hour, use your power and come help save the day!

It's based on 'Betus Blues', one of the best tracks in the game.

Weird Al Yankovic - Ebay Song

Blasphemy.

Though realistically speaking, there's probably a couple dozen of his originals/parodies I could consider my favorite...

For those who love Kings Of Leon.........

Ridg3 04-27-2011 06:13 AM

That was actually pretty good. It was the singers face that made it perfect he actually looked as though something went horribly wrong.

STM 04-27-2011 12:48 PM

That's, that's not real. It can't be...

Mr. Bungle 04-27-2011 04:38 PM

THERE WILL BE ZERO TOLERANCEEEE

Ridg3 04-28-2011 01:52 AM

I'm happy Chuck Schuldiner died.

Mr. Bungle 04-28-2011 07:18 AM

Why?

Ridg3 04-28-2011 11:05 AM

Stop calling me out on things I don't mean.

For the record, I don't even like Death.

Mr. Bungle 04-28-2011 12:00 PM

Why?

Ridg3 04-28-2011 01:01 PM

I don't think they're good.
