Finally got around to watching Fight Club.

Brad Pitt gains some street cred with me, and leaves me wondering why I haven't seen Edward Norton more. Although I still don't understand how he lived through shooting himself in the head while his alter-ego died. I'm thinking maybe he only shot off the part of his brain that contained the ego, but still that's brain damage and bleeding. Also, the woman in it started off sort of ugly but for some weird reason she got more and more attractive throughout the movie.

Sorry I can't remember the names, but for some reason my mind is just blank and I don't want to look it up on imdb.

It's all psychological, by proving to himself he wasn't afraid of death he realised he didn't need the badass alter ego anymore.

Ah, I was under the impression he was threatning to kill himself and thus his alter ego, to prevent the interference in his life.

Anyway, just played the FEAR 2 demo. The graphics are if not exactly, at least close to Crysis, and while it was too short to really be scary, had some great moments even in the 15 minutes it took to play. One of these included a hallucination of fighting Alma's mom hand to hand, and watching a soldier get grabbed by some kind of cross between a gigantic bloody tentacle and a knarled tree limb, then being smashed to pieces against walls. I must have it.

I watched the first of the two Che films yesterday. It was a decent film but nothing to rave about. Del Toro did a fantastic job, as usual.

I was under the impression he shot himself through the cheek. It worked for me, why not Norton?

Also, agreed, hotness is gradual.

OANST 01-26-2009 11:53 AM

I would consider her to be very attractive if she wasn't married to Tim Burton. The idea of him having had his hack penis inside her completely removes any attractive qualities that she may have had.

I'm watching the Death Note anime.

I love it. I understand why it gets so much praise from certain... People?
Though I don't get why some people just hate it for no reason. I guess it's the same thing with furries.

OANST 01-26-2009 12:02 PM

Did you know that there have been actual Death Note murders? Look it up.

I watched Blue Velvet on TV a couple of nights ago. Most bizarre film I've seen in a while.

Fanboys, just about every character in Death Note has a raving dA fanclub, this puts people off... although it really really shouldn't.

Ahhhh, old David Lynch. Back when he was avant-garde instead of just plain stupid.

Yes, I did.

Oh my god, in the last couple of weeks I watched the first series of Breaking Bad.
SOOO GOOOD

First time the writer's strike has affected me though, the season didn't even have a conclusion!

Can't wait for the second.

mitsur 01-27-2009 01:18 PM

Started watching 24 again. Jack Bauer decides to be a good bad guy! OOOO ORIGINAL!

Still a kickass show though. Rounds of the Damnit drinking game are still slow. I think he's only said it three times at the most in one episode so far.

Mac Sirloin 02-01-2009 02:41 PM

I just saw Gran Torino.

Best movie I've seen all year, and undoubtedly my favorite. I recommend it to absolutely anyone.

Saw 1408 Last night. Spectacular film, can't say enough good stuff about it, twisty turny, suspensful and very fun to watch. Very good Stephen King thriller, but what else do you expect from him other than greatness?

Less Bolivian Army or Alfred Hitchcock endings.

Helena Bonham Carter (The druggy in Fight Club) FTW.

Milf of the year award 08.

Yes Man.

"At least you didn't get shitcanned."

Loved it.

All month of it?

I mean within the last 12 months. Don't get technical with me.

Nemo 02-03-2009 02:16 AM

Just watched Hellboy 2. It was pretty good.

OANST 02-03-2009 06:44 AM

I watched 'In Bruges' last night. Very unexpected. It is most certainly one of the best films that I have seen in a long time.

Mac Sirloin 02-05-2009 04:11 PM

Some stupid fucking advertisement just popped up for Coraline. Whatever, shit looks stupid ad piss. I'm tired of Gaiman's kid-friendly stuff being adapted, make something good for fucks sake.

Fuck you, firefox download system. Don't pop up because I'm saving a picture, faggot.

Nate 02-05-2009 05:26 PM

Coraline looks like it will be pretty cool though. Bugger Gaiman; it's directed by Henry Selick!

(director of Nightmare Before Christmas, if you must know)

Bolt just kicked its way into my Disney top ten. Fucking awesome.

Reminded me of Homeward Bound in places, another reason why it is oh so winful.

I refuse to take my daughter to see such awful pieces of shit. Fuck Disney and fuck their insipid, sappy, lifeless films.

Seriously. Fuck them.

If it makes you feel better, Bolt was originally about a Bonny and Clyde-esque Cat and Dog duo who smoke cigars and kill people.

I'm not making this up.

mitsur 02-07-2009 12:15 PM

It has Miley Cyrus and John Travolta.

Insta-anti-entertaining.
