Wait, what? Don't you mean BG&E?

EDIT: Oh, never mind. I misunderstood.

You could say the same thing about pretty much all the Elder Scrolls games though.

Not Skyrim.

Not Skyrim.

Skyrim improves the combat system, but not by much. It is still mostly mashing a button for melee combat, which is what I meant. Maybe Im just looking at Morrowind and Oblivion with rose tinted glasses though.

Dynamithix 11-29-2011 03:15 AM

To be honest, if the combat wasn't as simple as it is in Skyrim, it'd probably just get more hate from people. Didn't Witcher 2 have a pretty tricky combat system? If I remember right, it got some really good reviews, but the only thing people were complaining about was the combat. And in my opinion, Skyrim's combat is pretty good. I wish that they would've used the Dark Messiah combat system, but this is good too.

On another note, I'm now looking for new animals in BG&E. It's a nice feeling when you spot a new creature and get lots of cash for it.

Daxter King 11-29-2011 05:48 AM

I have heard nothing but praise for The Witcher 2's combat system.

Just wrapped up the main storyline on Saint’s Row 2. God that’s a fucking great game, can’t believe I left it this long.

Dynamithix 12-02-2011 11:17 AM

I beat Beyond Good & Evil just a few minutes ago. I remembered wrong, I never actually beat the game originally so the ending and the final levels were completely new to me, but awesome too. The final boss was a bit tricky for me. Anyways, loved to play it again and the little clip after the credits was interesting.

Mr. Bungle 12-02-2011 01:30 PM

My friend is always going on about how amazing that game is. I should probably play it.

I've been playing through Fallout 3 and Bioshock because I'm poor and can't afford any new games (Skyrim, Arkham City). Fun.

Dynamithix 12-02-2011 01:47 PM

You should definitely get it if you're into adventure games at all. Only bad things that I noticed about it were the awful camera movement and the length of the game. You can beat it pretty quickly.

Also one thing that really bothered me in the story was that first you kinda get the feeling that... (Pretty big spoilers about the story!) ...Pey'J is your partner through out the story, but then he gets kidnapped and you won't see him 'till the very last levels. That was a bit of a bummer for me. But at least you get a new partner, Double H, who is pretty funny because of his goofiness.

CAAAARLSON AND PEEETEEERRSSS!

JennyGenesis 12-03-2011 03:18 AM

Isn't Double H that human character?

Yeah it's been a while since I played it.

Dynamithix 12-03-2011 03:20 AM

Yeah, he's one of the agents from IRIS network.

JennyGenesis 12-03-2011 03:59 AM

If memory serves me right I've just gotten him as my sidekick,

How far into the game is that?

Crashpunk 12-03-2011 04:23 AM

Fallout New Vegas.

My first time playing a Fallout game, I'm still getting use to it but I'm loving it so far.

I think it's the part in the Black Isle or something.

JennyGenesis 12-03-2011 09:45 AM

That name seems familiar...

I need a kick to get me back into the game.

MeechMunchie 12-03-2011 10:54 AM

Half-Life 2: Lost Coast. Not sure how I missed it before.

It's cool. I like this sort of thing. A kind of living developer diary. I clubbed some Combine to death with Byzantine furniture, and spent five minutes looking between a dark ceiling and a white sunny wall, admiring Valve's exposure-adjustment technology.

Also, OOH, PRETTY.

AlexFili 12-03-2011 10:58 AM

I'm just playing Fallout 3. I just keep walking around the wasteland and finding new bits and pieces here and there. Not even finished over half of the main quest yet.

I want them to do more stuff like that too, Maybe lost levels from Half-Life 2 beta and such.

Also I got a shock when I searched Lost Coast on Steam, It says its £49.99! Turns out its because you can only get it with the Valve complete collection or the Orange Box.

JennyGenesis 12-03-2011 12:57 PM

I remember first playing that when it just got released.

Wasn't it originally free?

Jordan 12-03-2011 01:02 PM

I really need to get The Orange Box on Steam. I'm put off in a way because I already have it for the Xbox plus I got Portal and TF2 for free on the PC anyway. Still, it would probably be cheaper to get HL2 and Episodes 1&2 if I got The Orange Box. Man, I love Half-Life 2.

Really? I got it when I installed HL2. I didn't get The Orange Box.

No wait, I think it might've come free with Ep. 2.

About halfway, give or take.

Why not wait until the Christmas Steam sale? They sold the complete Half-Life collection for around £5 last year.

Man I love steam.

Woah, really? Jebus. Thanks, I'll watch out for it. My boyf usually roots through the Steam sales periodically so I'll also tell him to watch out. Fanks Chris.

Crashpunk 12-04-2011 02:48 AM

Not a problem. :)

Also the Abe games are like 49p or even cheaper in the sales, They were the cheapest games on steam (aside from Free To Play of course)

Dynamithix 12-04-2011 02:56 AM

Yeah, but Half Life 1 was 20 cents once. And I didn't get it...

MeechMunchie 12-04-2011 03:27 AM

I remember getting Psychonauts for £1.

MIIIDWEEK MAAADNEEESS

Jordan 12-04-2011 03:27 AM

Oh please stop it, you're tempting me to buy loads of cheap games from Steam. I have money to save!

MeechMunchie 12-04-2011 03:36 AM

As soon as you downloaded the client, the contents of your wallet officially became property of Valve.

Jordan 12-05-2011 10:33 AM

Just played co-op Rayman Origins. Freaking awesome. So pretty and surreal. Was hilarious slapping Rayman about.
