I might have to do the same but I will feel like a leechy cunt to give as little as I can for a set-your-own-price deal. So if I do do it, I'll make separate contributions to each of the factions.

Borderlands is -75% off on steam. Should I buy it even though my computer can't run it?
|
What's the point if your computer can't run it? It's a good game though.
|
The 'normal' graphics style that Borderlands had in their previews gave it this awesome ambient look.
Then they made it all...uuh. I do like shell-shaded graphics, but it's the fact I had an expectation for it and it totally lose all appeal to me. @Shellshaded related stuff, I found a very old copy of Jet Set Radio Future for the Xbox in my house today. I gave it a whirl today and all the memories came rushing back. |
Shell shaded? Don't you mean Cel-shaded?
|
I hate you.

Regrettably.
Also, try as hard as I might, I can never match the criterion of being a True Scotsman either. |

Axew is way late, like, 8th gym late.

I am loving this 2K sale - A couple of days ago Bioshock 1 and 2 was on special offer for £3.70 each. Playing games is so much better than watching other people play games - Makes me regret not upgrading sooner. |

But come on, we all know Deino is the better alternative. IF YOU IGNORE ITS SHODDY ACCURACY ITS REALLY A NICE POKEMON
|
Makes sense, I never bothered with surf til gym 8. It's funny how they were pretty unnecessary.

I played the beta for Rift a while back. Now it's out and the bugs have beeen fixed, I would recommend people give it a whirl. I know a lot of people here make some kind of moral objection to MMOs*, so I'm not expecting much of a response, but it's worth looking into for one reason: The normally poncy elements, Life and Water, are the creepiest of the lot. Water is all about the hideous forces hidden in the deep, and Life embodies eternal, bloodthirsty competition. Also, there's a speck of dirt on my monitor shaped exactly like a size 2 comma. I spent about 40 seconds trying to backspace it before rubbing it off. *I don't mean that literally. It's a joke. I just mean people don't like them. I shouldn't have to make footnotes like these but there's always one person who takes it seriously. EDIT: Also, Kastere should be pleased. |
Pixeljunk Shooter 2. I didn't even realise it was released until this morning.
It's like the first game+. The new ideas are fairly cool, such as bacteria stuff that multiplies itself and quickly gets out of control if not dealt with quickly. The acid is stressful, too. It gives you just enough time to panic and struggle towards water before it kills you. I've also encountered the new "Hungry Suit". It's stupid. You can only move in 4 directions and eat stuff. You rely on falling blocks to kill enemies. It's fucking annoying to use. The online sounds really good, too, although I can't connect to any matches. It probably has something to do with me living in Australia. |
The new Yar's Revenge is shit! It would've been awesome it they had just remade the original with neon colored 3D models and HD technicolor explosions. Instead we get overly complicated controls and cutscenes, I'm getting really sick of cutscenes -_-

I've been playing Pokémon Emerald and Trine lately.
I think Trine is really good and the graphics are nice. The Wizard is the best. :p I just beat the 8th gym in Emerald and soon I'll have to face the Elite 4. I gotta train my Pokémon a lot, my best pokémons are a Lv.47 Swampert and a Lv.41 Swellow. Yeah... |
I had a lvl100 Suicune once, he was glorious and not one rare candy or stay in the day-care center was used.
|
Suicune is automatically glorious.
|
I've got 6 Rare Candies but I'm going to save them for later.
|
Steam's got a pretty sweet deal running on the classic GTA games right now, so I picked that up.
Anyone know if I'm going to have issues getting them to run on Windows 7? |
:
This deal's better. |
I wasn't aware that deal included III, Vice City and San Andreas.
|
I wasn't aware that San Andreas was a classic.

San Andreas was released in 2004; you must be thinking of GTA IV.

SA is still as fun as it ever was though despite its age... I've always wanted the PC version of it. £3 is an awesome deal.
Oh and Oddhunter - If you have the professional version of Windows 7, almost anything will be able to run on it. |
Picked up Splosion Man again, some parts are still mind numbingly frustrating, but its fun for the most part. Played a bit of Reach, got a free copy of it. Just waiting until I can play some Gears 3 beta. Everything I have heard and seen about it seems like a return to form.
