I really want to get Snoopy: Flying Ace, but I'm not spending any money until we go on vacation later this month. I'll just have to wait, I guess.

PalezQkkeli 06-03-2010 04:41 AM

Finished playing Half Life 2: Episode II. I wonder what I should play next..

Josh 06-03-2010 05:37 AM

The Doctor Who Game.

It's shit.

Xavier 06-03-2010 01:10 PM

Started Alan Wake today... I have to admit it's almost impossible to lay down the controller. Which sucks because I'm in the middle of my exams period. :(

Crashpunk 06-04-2010 12:17 AM

I got a pe-owned copy of Animal Crossing: Wild World. i'm just starting everything today.
and i've been playing through Half-Life 2 and the Episodes getting the new Steam Achievements

Pokemon was meh. Quite fun, but very repetitive.

MeechMunchie 06-04-2010 01:19 PM

World of Goo. World of Goo is awesome. Isn't it awesome?

Also, Osmos is the most frustrating game I can remember playing. Machinarium was meh. And Yet It Moves was slick and entertaining, but now I've completed it I don't think I'll play it again.

Hazel-Rah 06-04-2010 01:38 PM

I'm playing X-Files on PS1 and I can't stop...

Is that the one that's pretty much all full-motion live action video?

It was okay. I always felt a bit guilty about giving that guy radiation sickness though.

Phylum 06-05-2010 01:51 AM

I'm about to finish God of War III for the first time. I managed to get full health, magic and item bars. I also managed to upgrade every weapon to it's maximum level, apart from one, 4000 orbs from upgrading. If there are 4000 orbs scattered throughout the final Zeus (which really doesn't require spoiler tags) battle (after the 2D fighter bit) I will be very happy.

Daxter King 06-05-2010 06:32 PM

Picked up Red Dead Redemption earlier. So far I'm loving it, everything is great. The multiplayer is also really fun, and there are actual reasons to play it, unlike GTA4. You eventually can ride buffalo and bulls instead of horses.

luke3212 06-05-2010 07:09 PM

Im playing: Hotel Mario! YEAH BIATCHES

OANST 06-07-2010 06:45 AM

Completed all of the missions for Red Dead Redemption, so I have now started on Super Mario Galaxy 2. It really is as much fun as people say, and gladly has given me a reason to turn my Wii on again.

Would anyone else like to turn my Wii on?

Wings of Fire 06-07-2010 07:39 AM

I made a thread about your wiiwii but Nate is mean.

OANST 06-07-2010 08:11 AM

Shit. I didn't notice that. I miss all the good threads.

Crashpunk 06-07-2010 02:06 PM

I just got Warioware: D.I.Y. Do It Your Self and i think its brilliant.
Its difficult to get the hang of making the Games but once you get it and go through all the tutorials, its really fun and i love the freedom you get. I'm currenty making a Oddworld Microgame :p

OANST 06-11-2010 01:50 PM

You know what's totally fucking awesome? Twisted Pixel is giving new levels of Splosion Man for free to everyone who buys their new game Comic Jumper. You know what that is? It's totally fucking awesome. That's what it is.

And here's a video:

Josh 06-13-2010 10:34 AM

Pokemon HeartGold and Pokemon Pearl. Pearl is shit.

Disgruntled Intern 06-13-2010 08:47 PM

Played through Alan Wake. Really enjoyed it for the story telling and graphics. The repetition of using the flashlight on the taken before shooting them got old pretty quickly though. Also, best ending in a long. Fucking. Time.

Playing Darksiders now, and I am not impressed. At all.

Re-playing Voodoo Vince. It's actually quite fun and charming.

That said, my good memories of it were all in the first half of the game. Now I've gotten past them, I don't know if I'll bother continuing.

I remember that game! I would only play up until the part where you drive over the gas tanks with the steamroller; at that point I'd restart :D
*sigh* those were good days.

Beleive it or not, I own that game! :fuzemb: yeah, laugh all you want... okay, maybe tone it down, but, either way, I truly own it; I found a warp zone in, what, the 7th level that takes you to the 3rd world, then, two levels later, there's another warp zone that takes you to level 8 of the 6th world; oh joy.

Phylum 06-14-2010 03:55 AM

I'm 100%-ing Ratchet and Clank 2. I'm past the 1//2 way mark (1/2 mega weapons, RYNO 2, best armour, 24 skill points and 32 platinum bolts). I've skipped all of the annoying/pointless crap with the first person wallclimb (i.e. the levitatior at the start of Boldan)

I'm also playing through RaC:ACiT after I deleted the game from my HDD and started again because I couldn't get trophies (long, agitating story). I was at ~90% of everything done.

I just updated my Q3:A from v1.11 (I think) to 1.32. I can now run CPM and DeFrag, so I'm going to be amused for quite a while.

It takes a bit for Darksiders to hit it's stride, but I had a lot of fun with it once it did. It's definitely not perfect, but it does a few things very well.

It's clunky and ugly. The combat is fluid enough, but the graphics are just horrible. I could look the other way when it came to shitty graphics a few years ago, but now? Come on. There's really no excuse.

And the dodging system blows. Rushing/lunging should not be the same thing as dodging. It really shouldn't. Unless I just haven't gotten far enough for the in game tutorial to tell me how to actually dodge.

OANST 06-14-2010 09:52 AM

I didn't think that the graphics were ugly. I thought that the screen tears were annoying, but other than that I didn't have an issue.

Yeah, the dodge mechanism can be frustrating. I eventually got used to it, which is good because you will be doing a lot of dodging as you get further in the game.

Disgruntled Intern 06-14-2010 10:00 AM

Yeah, the screen tears. Ugh.

The graphics aren't mind blowing bad, but they're just...Mediocre. Less than mediocre. Some of the cutscenes are really nice. The opening was. Then some of the in game stuff is sub-par. Then the actual gameplay graphics almost seem flat and muted. I get that it's the end of the world and it's not going to be a lush and vibrant place, but it could at least be crisp looking. And it's not. It just seems...Meh. Maybe it's because I just got done playing Alan Wake and those visuals were close to perfect.

It's tough to go from an exceptionally well detailed game to one that isn't, but at least wait until you get to the area that has sunk under the water. I thought that area was really pretty.

Disgruntled Intern 06-14-2010 12:24 PM

Okay, now that I've upgraded War and gotten used to dodging and everything I like the game a lot more. You were right. Dick.

OANST 06-14-2010 01:20 PM

The first boss fight is stupid hard, so be ready for that. None of the other bosses are as hard as the first.

Disgruntled Intern 06-14-2010 02:56 PM

Holy shit.

EARTHWORM JIM.

They made it look weird and round and his voice is different and annoying, but it's fine if you play it on original. Multiplayer? Yes please.

Mac Sirloin 06-14-2010 04:38 PM

Blech. EWJ HD sucks. Grow some tastebuds and lick all over your screen, then you'll realize it sucks like I said.

Disgruntled Intern 06-14-2010 09:31 PM

I didn't know you said it sucked. It was worth the download for the supersuit avatar award, honestly.

Strike Witch 06-15-2010 06:27 AM

I picked up Dark Void for like ten bucks at a sale.

Seems fun.

Is Original mode different in the Full Version? After reading your post I assumed it was, but in the trial I think it just makes things harder.

Disgruntled Intern 06-15-2010 12:30 PM

My complaint was that in normal mode it was just way the hell too easy. In original mode, it was pretty tough, as it should have been. So, yeah, original makes it hard. I'm not sure what else you were expecting it to do, other than revert to the original graphics, which would have been fucking perfect and amazing. It breaks my heart that they felt the need to 'update' the music.

I'm playing Fallout 3 mostly, amazing game, I'm looking for some oif the mysterious stuff in this video...

Also watching this video made me want to play x-files on the ps1, gotta track that game down again I miss it :(

The Dunwich building creeped me the fuck out. Even though I went through it on easy mode with a Ghoul mask on, the place was just really really creepy with all the ghoul noises. Finding all the tapes was rewarding though.

Point Lookout and Vault 106 were also creepy. I was glad when I stood outside again XD.

Hazel-Rah 06-15-2010 11:37 PM

You know what else was creepy in that game? That part where you get that distress signal from Vault 101 and you have to go back and kill the Overseer, it suprised the hell out of me when I was flipping through the radio stations. Then you get back to the vault and that damn robot is doing elective surgery on people >_> sooo disgusting!

Also "Tranquilty Lane" was pretty messed up, that part where the robot greets you when you first walk into the vault...I screamed lol, really.

Strike Witch 06-16-2010 08:03 AM

Dark Void is pretty fun. It's cheesy, and sometimes the enemy robots fly all over the fucking places, but the gameplay is solid.

Alf Shall Rise 06-19-2010 07:19 AM

I'm currently playing Beneath a Steel Sky.

It's pretty fun though the puzzles are really tough to figure out, which is good. Joey is awesome.
