Varrok 04-10-2016 11:18 AM

I watched it recently and I thought it wasn't very funny. Very predictable.

Vlam 04-10-2016 12:26 PM

It is aimed at toddlers.

Varrok 04-10-2016 12:32 PM

Well... yeah. Maybe a little too much.

Laser 04-10-2016 12:37 PM

Toddlers? Hardly. More like 9-12 year olds. Toddlers wouldn't understand what the fuck is going on. I see Pixar films, and most Disney films, as Universal. Anyone of any age can enjoy them.

Yes but the film is all bright colours flying about the place so toddlers can enjoy it.

Vlam 04-11-2016 03:00 AM

I've been watching Dr. Katz.

Oddey 04-11-2016 11:21 AM

I recently watched Apocalypse Now. Then decided to watch it two more times, because I liked it so much.

My only excuse is that I was too sick to do much else.

C'mon son, you don't actually believe that do you? To say that Inside Out is for toddlers because it is brightly coloured and filled with animated action is a ridiculous thing to say.

Nepsotic 04-11-2016 01:53 PM

Not exclusively toddlers, but that's part of it. It's not saying anything new or interesting or even in a unique way, it's just another Disney film. I didn't think there was anything spectacular about it.

Tell me more about this.

MA 04-13-2016 11:34 AM

sorry, but Vlam has ran out of dialogue concerning Dr. Katz.

he'd just love to tell you about the fucking ARG though.

Nate 04-13-2016 08:45 PM

There's a Fucking ARG now? I hope there's a physical activity part of it as well!

EVP_Glukkon 04-13-2016 10:42 PM

I saw 'The Witch' with my Wife.

2/5. Typical family in remote location turning against each-other, elements of external threat going on. Should of been a 20min YouTube film.

Nepsotic 04-13-2016 11:26 PM

Yeah I watched that the other day. It had such a high rating and ended up being utter shit.

Alf Shall Rise 04-14-2016 02:21 AM

I saw The Invitation the other night with some friends.

I liked it up until it got to the end where it turned into a generic horror movie. I mean seriously, the rest of the movie was this weird, almost surreal ride of paranoia and grief that seemed like it was building up to something really interesting. Then it turns out that all of the suspicions that Will had during the movie were just 100% right and David planned on killing all of them for his stupid crazy cult.

Zootopia is a good movie, and having an entire theater to yourself to watch it is even better.

In a small cinema room?

Surely that makes wanking in there much less fun?

I

guess it depends on what you hope to get from the experience?

MeechMunchie 04-28-2016 01:57 PM

I think anyone who's been on this forum for more than a year didn't get any further than "Zoo-".

Crashpunk 04-29-2016 03:06 PM

Funny enough, the very first thing I thought of after seeing a Zootopia poster is. "Oh god. DeviantArt are going to have a field day."

Nate 10-25-2016 04:03 AM

I just saw this documentary.

It was a deeply, deeply surreal experience. It's about a New Zealander journalist who investigates the supposedly established world of competitive tickling, and comes to realise that it's a web of intrigue involving blackmail, death threats, and a massive pile of crazy.

Worth seeing if you get the chance.

FennecFyre 10-25-2016 08:33 AM

I saw Kubo and the Two Strings a while back. I was hesitant to see another Laika film after Coraline scarred me as a child, but I was hugely impressed. Beautiful visuals, beautiful music, and a surprisingly good story--it ended up being less about a generic quest and more about what it means to be human, both the good and the bad aspects. I managed to figure out one twist beforehand, but the other caught me by surprise. 8/10, would buy it when it comes out on DVD.

Nate 10-30-2016 01:39 AM

Yeah, Kubo was great. And I've been listening to the soundtrack on a loop.

Sybil Ant 10-30-2016 04:37 PM

I've been watching S3 of Black Mirror on Netflix and I'm just pretty in awe with how good it is, especially with the higher production value. I'll admit, I was stoned out of my mind when I watched episode two, so I can't decide if that ep was really as great as I thought at the time, but the guy's death at the end definitely stuck with me. That shit was pretty brutal.

Nepsotic 10-31-2016 12:00 PM

Shit, I loved the first two series', I'm going to have to catch up. Charlie Brooker is my bae. Wish he'd do some more work with Chris Morris, Nathan Barley was the shit.

Mr. Bungle 11-05-2016 07:58 PM

I watched the first episode of season three of Black Mirror. I, too, was quite stoned. It was as enjoyable as it was unsettling.

Sybil Ant 11-20-2016 01:10 AM

I finally finished the last two episodes of the season last night, and I really think it finished on a high note. The subtextuality and little bits thrown in to add depth are just incredible to me. For instance, the blonde lady from OitNB notes her accuracy is 88%, of course 88 being a representative number of the Nazi regime. The birds being set free in Heidekker's house, etc. It's all pretty cool. Also Doug Stamper.

Also, the bees, damn. That was one hell of a ride. Also Genghis Khan.

Shade667 11-21-2016 03:17 AM

Been catching up with a few films I missed over the last 2 years when I stopped watching TV completely. And since I never go to the movies I never saw any of them. Watched Zootopia (fantastic, probably in my top 3 disney films), Kung Fu Panda 3 (also fantastic), Deadpool and How to train your dragon 2. Ive had an enjoyable week.
