See Saw

Haha

I get it.

OANST 04-06-2013 07:18 AM

No, you don't.

WolfensteinOdess 04-06-2013 07:23 AM

I saw every Saw but I prefer Saw 3D because the end was really strange and nice, and I was surprised by the ingenious traps

MeechMunchie 04-06-2013 08:42 AM

I saw Esau Wood saw wood.
Esau said he saw his wood-saw saw.
If Esau Wood's saw saws his wood
Can Esau's wood-saw saw wood-saws?

Wings of Fire 04-06-2013 09:26 AM

Okay, enough of that.

Varrok 04-06-2013 09:30 AM

This joke was only funny once.

I watched entire Breaking Bad made so far. It's still awesome, but the first season was the best.

Mr. Bungle 04-06-2013 11:57 AM

I think season 2 is my favourite. Followed by the fourth, the first (these two are almost equal), the fifth, then the third. They're all very watchable, though.

saw some Facejacker. funny shit.

Vyrien 04-06-2013 07:14 PM

Shit, sorry, I meant to post part 2.

HOLD YOUR BACON ROLLS

Nepsotic 04-07-2013 12:40 AM

I prefer Phonejacker.

Watched Gilliam's "Time Bandits" for the first time in about a decade.

It's not my favorite Gilliam film, but I noticed while watching it how many of the memorable moments and visuals were obviously taken as inspiration by lesser filmmakers who rehashed the scenes for their own fantasy movie forays. Gilliam himself essentially remade it beat-for-beat for The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, which is almost the same exact movie. I think I like Munchausen more though.

Full Metal Jackoff 10/10

Watching Seinfeld right now. As usual. Goddamn I love Seinfeld.

Also finished the first season of Veep. What a hilarious, well-written show. I was impressed at how seamlessly they seemed to blend drama into the characters storylines, without it ever getting cheesy or even forgetting the true purpose of the show: humour. There seems to be quite a bit of depth to each character, something that I hope the writers focus on more in the upcoming season (which I am totally hyped for).

Oh, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus is pretty much my favourite woman in show business now. Perfect comedic timing. Couldn't think of anyone better for the role of Selina if I tried. No, not Tina Fey.

Wings of Fire 04-12-2013 05:48 PM

New anime season.

This one's a little different. Not a lot of cute girls doing cute things. Instead we got not one, not two but three giant robot shows.

From an experienced writing and directing crew, and a studio nobody has heard of, Majestic Prince which is retro as fuck, focuses on the humor and dynamic between the cast and has a gorgeous op.

From the writer of Code Geass (A very bad series in a very good way) and Planetes (A very good series in a very good way) and studio Sunrise responsible for Gundam: Valvrave the Liberator. This one has a huge budget and seems to involve nanomachine vampires or some stupid shit like that. Promises to be if not very good, at least pretty entertaining.

And last of the three, and definitely the best from the premiere, Suisei no Gargantia written by Urobochi 'Urobutcher' Gen of Madoka/Fate/Zero fame. Is visually stunning and brimming with potential, but may adhere to certain themes as it gets further in.

Also airing this season is Attack on Titan. Based on a sleeper hit fantasy manga about humanity in the far future being holed up in a castle-city and living in fear of omnomnoming titans. It's being produced with a massive budget and by the director of Death Note and the studio behind Ghost in the Shell SAC amongst others.

Personally I'm most looking forward to the sequel to A Certain Scientific Railgun which premiered earlier today and hasn't been subtitled yet. I watched the first series over the last week or so and I found it to be very surprisingly enjoyable.

And that's me done.

Also I'm finally getting round to watching Kiki's Delivery Service (It's by Miyazaki. You can be interested without losing coolness points) tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it a lot.

Mac Sirloin 04-13-2013 12:31 AM

Kiki's Delivery Service is probably my favourite pre-Spirited Away Miyazaki film, or at least comes at a close second to Totoro.

Castle in the Sky is great too but doesn't have that same warm feeling the others did.

Slog Bait 04-15-2013 03:32 AM

I'm watching Supernatural because I finally got the urge to check it out.

It's really good so far. I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I do. I'm almost done with season 1, and noticed there's like 8 seasons of the damn show and that really worries me because it's bound to go in a really, really unbelievably shitty direction and then suddenly all the magic will be ruined. That happens in practically every long running live action show I've ever enjoyed ever, and usually happens by the third or fourth season.

Someone who's caught up please come in punch me in the face and tell me everything's going to be alright

please

Mac Sirloin 04-15-2013 06:12 AM

The first three seasons of supernatural were ok if I remember, after that it got really shitty with lots of 'YOU ARE THE CHOSEN ONE' stuff for one brother or the other.

Also, I don't know if they even end up catching the demon they were hunting for in the first place.

Steamer_KING 04-15-2013 09:56 AM

Here's something different:

MA 04-18-2013 04:52 PM

watched Black Death. fucking great film, loved it. love all the actors in it, too. lot of familiar faces. i just love that era anyway, it was like watching Braveheart for the first time again. i don't know what it is, i feel like my mind belongs in that period. the days when you could lead a revolution with a sword and a handful of peasants. MAKE ME A TIME MACHINE I HAVE A PLAN

Dynamithix 04-20-2013 03:13 AM

I really want to see this.

Mr. Bungle 04-22-2013 04:35 PM

New season of Veep is awesome so far. They've managed to make Selina even less likable and I've noticed new layers of depth have been added to pretty much all the main character's background, without shifting focus from the main purpose of the show, IE the humour and satire found within politics.

Man I don't think game reviews count as movies or tv series even if they're 2 hours long.

Nepsotic 04-22-2013 09:55 PM

I watched that last night, I don't know why it's took them this long to make it. But yeah, it was great.
Dyna, if you think that's long, the whole documentary is about 10 hours long, and it's fucking awesome.

Steamer_KING 04-23-2013 03:23 AM

*messed up*

Mr. Bungle 04-23-2013 03:43 AM

The thread title is "I Have Just Seen..." not "Recently Watched Movies or TV Shows", or some derivitave of that.
