Dodging dragons whilst avoiding looking at the hordes of Endermen will be fun. ._.

Having a pack of pet dragons would be awesome though.

I can't wait for the new world! I really want to see some new ender like blocks and items. I liked the idea of using diffrent/unique tools in the Ather mod.
Oh yeah, this is sorta topical but the Yogscast reached 1,000,000 Subscribers today. :) |

Oh shit, he really did change the name to the Ender! Notch wasn't even trippin'.
The Ender World has a nice ring to it.
Also what does that even mean STM? He wasn't even trippin'? Y'saying Notch wasn't high when he made the Ether? I don't get it. |
EDIT: Never mind. Cunt spill confused me with his omitted n.
The creeper and the endermen are ruining the picture.
Probably because they're the only creatures in that image without non-cubified references.
Creeper seems a bit big.
It's happy to see you.
The creeper looks all wrong.
the creeper doesnt even look like a real one,he should have a black yelling kamikaze face... :D
Still. Its a good drawing. :)
I think it's pretty cool. Also, creepers do expand slightly before they... vent their unhappiness.
In other news, I've been a way for a weekend and now I have no idea what's going on in Minecraft. |
Apparently, 1.9 will have more stuff than what I would've bargained for. That is, if the recent stuff like enchanting and dragons actually make it into the upcoming update.
Also, I gave IndustrialCraft2 a try yesterday. Takes some time and effort to install, since it needs six other mods to work properly. But then you can craft all sorts of automated machinery, generators of all kinds, powertools to help your mining and such. The whole thing is quite heavy on iron, but certain machines can duplicate the amount of ore you have, so it balances out after you get that piece of gear. Not a bad mod if you don't mind keeping a ton of recipes in mind and/or constantly tabbing out to the mod's wiki, and if you like the sounds of various factory machinery. |
I'm having trouble identiying the silverfish in that pic.
Wait, so they changed the farlands to "The Ender"?
No. The Ender is the name of a new dimension that will be accessible via stronghold portals. It is the home world of endermen and enderdragons.
So you won't be able to make your own portals?
Unknown. There might be some in the Ender that you can bring back to make your own portals. That's something like Notch was planning when in his head the Skylands were a dream realm.
I gather Ender Portals are found broken, and can only be repaired using alchemical ingredients, one of which must be gathered off of new Nether mobs (fire slimes I think). I think that the same creation can also be used to track down strongholds, so they'll be easier to find once you've been to the Nether.
What happens when a cavern intercepts your stronghold portal room, I have no idea (strongholds, like dungeons, generate connected to caverns, so this is a common issue, and in the one stronghold I've found was a serious problem when it came to exploration). I'm imagining how the portal would look (not to mention the related silverfish spawner) hovering in the middle of a dark ravine. Anyone know what the Ender will look like? |
Based on the appearance of Endermen and Enderdragons, it will be dark.
Plus the Endermen seem to be squinting. Maybe they're used to gloom.
It's really dark, the scenery is grey and there are big dark pillars jutting out of the ground if I remember correctly. It looks scary and somewhat grainy, but that might just be prt scrn quality.
