Piracy isn't stealing the item, it's stealing the money the game company could have made if you'd bought it.

I steal from faceless corporations and contribute to causing small amounts of damage to my favourite animators, composers and writers. Deal with it.

I have the music library that could make Simon Cowell cry, all of which are downloaded (bar a few albums) and I don't feel guilty about it... at all.

Eh. I have fairly solid reasons for downloading all my anime/vns.

I won't even buy used music or games. I only buy new and I never pirate. That's because I respect those who are more talented than I am.

I don't pirate much but music, meh. I feel media industries are slowly dying because of this kind of behaviour en masse. One more person won't change that. I have little guilt.

You know, at it's core, the problem isn't that your one download is costing them money. The problem is that you have so little regard for the people who create these things that you love so much. It reminds me of the constant whining that people who play Left 4 Dead on the 360 do because the dlc costs money to download. I actually want Valve and Microsoft to have my money. I feel like they are producing something worth my time, and I want to let them know it. I could either send them a card or give them my money. I'll go with giving them my money.

Hahaha, I didn't notice that at first.

Not in my case, I've paid for every single game that I own and I've paid for every album from my most loved bands. I won't pay for albums that only have one song on it that I want, but if it turns out that I like them (and it has to be really like) I'll buy their albums, my reasons are that I won't fork out 15 quid for a shit album with one good song on it.

Buy the song on itunes then.

This 100%. I don't like buying stuff online; I love having a physical copy I can hold and look at, among other things.
