I'm playing Morrowind again, that has lots of trees. Live trees, dead trees, trees that grow in swamps... Also giant mushrooms.
I've installed a shitload of mods (148 at last count) so it looks all pretty. It crashes every twenty minutes for no reason... but hey, it's pretty. Like Supermodel Grand Prix. |
Addendum to my previous post: the boss fights in Deus Ex: Human Revolution are bullshit and unfair and completely fly in the face of what the rest of the game tries to do.

But in case you're stuck 1. throw barrels 2. big machine gun 3. don't go to the limb clinic! 4. shoot stuff |

2. I wondered why there were so many in that level. Ended up hitting her with a stun gun/combat rifle combo because the hint was she was weak to electricity. 3. I hope this makes sense before it’s too late. 4. Shit. |

I play Kingdom Hearts because they're well designed, fun JRPGs. I have mixed feelings for the overarching story. It's by no means brilliant, but it's pacing pulls me through the games really well. The end of the second game in particular left me wanting to know what happened. I really have to admit that the individual worlds in the newest game were bad by KH standards. It makes up for it by having the best gameplay in the series. |
MGS4 has trophies now, so mostly that. Also, Mortal Kombat 9 because I got it for $10 I haven't played MK since Ultimate 3 so it's been fun, I always play as Reptile with his Klassic costume 'cause he's my favorite and the new design is shit.

I play Kingdom Hearts for the story.
With the exception of 358/2 Days. I didn't play that. I watched an LP of it. For the lack of story. |

4. Trust me, it's easy. Just take cover and shoot the obvious targets. |
I just bought Darksiders 2. I haven't started it yet, but I'm excited to get going. I really liked the first one.
|
Red Dead Redemption. Love the freakin' game.
Just finishing up a few bounty missions in order to get 100% completion. |
Darksiders 2.
I love it so far, only an hour or two in, but most everything is vastly improved from the first. |

Jet Set Radio Future. Awesome and fun but I fucking suck at it. :(

Finished Deus Ex: Human Revolution last night. Overall a pretty enjoyable game, and the greater focus on stealth and intrigue makes for a refreshing change from the current PFS trend.
A couple of spots let the game down. The boss fights are bullshit as I said, and there are one or two areas that take a miracle or tons of luck to get past without a gunfight breaking out. But other than that, the gameplay felt solid and was challenging without feeling unfair. I found the ending choice to be pretty interesting – you get the choice to reveal the source of the biochip attack as the Illuminati, kill everyone and let the rest of the world figure itself out, or lie in favor of either progressing augmentation technology or placing harsh restrictions on it. What’s interesting is how that choice is influenced; at the start of the game, you’re probably in favor of augs and think Taggart is a smug bastard, but by the conclusion of the story I found myself siding with him. |
I sent you some crappy loot that I didn't want in Darksiders 2, Daxter. You should send me some shit you don't want too.
|
I want to see the Pestilence sequel. It'll just be withering cornfields for hours.
|
The Justine scenario on Amnesia. Holy shit. After playing that I think it's drained some of my real sanity.
|
Is it you... my love?
|
Don't... just don't.
|
I knew you'd come back...
|
I should get back to Amnesia too. I started playing a couple of months ago and got to the refinery bit, but then the emerging heatwave forced me to cut down on things that induce higher heart rate and heavy sweating. Amnesia had to go. But it was fun in its own manner, and very immersive.
Now, I'm playing a bit of this and that. Mostly Awesomenauts, which is great and well worth buying, and a bit of Mount&Blade Warband when I feel like facing overwhelming bandit forces with a smaller but better equipped and trained group (also with a huge battleaxe from a warhorse). |
Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective has kept me occupied for a good few days now, I can't keep my hands off the DS because of it. The plot is really strange and it just keeps getting better and more fascinating through out the game and it has some of the funniest/coolest character design I've seen.

Started playing Metroid Prime 3 again and I'm determined to beat it. It's a great game. I've just destroyed a planet defence to let the Federation attack the Pirate Homeworld
|
Playing dead space 1.
It's a really scary and difficult game. Having problems beating it on easy mode. |
I can agree that's not very easy. Only to that.
|
Varrok's a real man.

The original Dead Space had kind of a creepy atmosphere, but most of the scares were simple shock scares. Not enough actual horror in it, just scary-looking monsteres jumping out at you.
Fun game though, the gore is excellent. |
Even better than dead space 2.
|
The only thing I didn't like about Dead Space was the abundance of ammunition later in the game. The beginning was creepy as hell, always having little to no ammo.
|
But like I have said, it is an action horror, not a survival horror, therefore plenty of ammo is to be expected.
|
You got me there.
|
Still, the "horror" element pretty much gets eliminated when you're armed to the teeth and have near-infinite ammo.
|
Talking about horror and scary things how did you all find Slender? I fell of my chair.
|
I haven't played it, but I think I will tonight. It doesn't look very scary, to be honest.
EDIT: Can't find a good download link. Dammit. |
I didn't think it was that scary. The only time that I jumped was the first time I got caught by Slender Man. His model in the game looks pretty silly and I just wasn't able to take it seriously.

Universe sandbox. I set trails to objects and watch the evolution of 2000000 interacting particles.
