Was the Quintology separate to the Habitales and Fearitales?

They were separate sagas, but we know the Habitales were going to have a bit of relation to the quintology.

Nearly every living(and some dead) character used in the Abe games and Munch's Oddysee being present in Hand of Odd artwork, and characters from the Quintology (and Abe's Exoddus) being major parts of your town or whatever you would call it.

Key word BIT. There was no story in Hand of Odd, but characters from the past games were going to play a major role(like Munch, Abe, Big Face, Alf, Almighty Raisin)

Of several different versions of the Hand of Odd design documents, I haven't seen any that included any of those characters besides Raisin.

I remember reading something about being able to choose Humphrey's attribute to improve upgrades or Lulu's attribute giving you more moolah etc. but that's all I've ever heard about old characters returning in Hand of Odd.
