I wonder if she consciously picked a beat that sounds like the mario track

MeechMunchie 01-22-2010 10:31 AM

The Darwinia soundtrack. I know I talk about Darwinia too much, and I normally I would mention game music in a game thread, but hey, you can get it on a CD. More to the point, they are definitely good enough to be songs in their own right. They don't even sound particularly soundtrack-y (like a certain game that rhymes with 'Rorrorind'...).

OANST 01-23-2010 10:58 AM

Abbey's new favorite song. Well...song is stretching it.

Got to see Infected Mushroom last night, that was a hell of a show. They definitely surpassed my expectations, especially considering the usually lame club venue. T'was quite a difference from hearing psytrance in secluded woodland locales like I'm used to. If only the opening acts hadn't been a terribad lineup of entirely unrelated electro-house. Waiting for their main set was seriously a test of patience. For the non-electronica enthusiasts, let me put things into perspective. Imagine say, Nickelback and Creed opening for Pantera >.>

Really? I saw them last year and was nothing but disappointed with them.

was recently reminded of that song.

Wings of Fire 01-31-2010 07:43 AM

Let's Reich it up!

Mac Sirloin 01-31-2010 04:16 PM

The finished song is MUCH better.

MeechMunchie 02-01-2010 09:47 AM

I'm going through an old school rock phase again.

In other news, I've discovered The Blanks, an a capella band I quite like. They played 'Ted's Band' in Scrubs.

Taco 02-02-2010 02:38 AM

For some reason I really enjoyed this song

Fluid 02-02-2010 12:49 PM

Celts are quite good.... not my favorite though

I love Seasick Steve. I prefer it when he only plays with three strings, as it's more of a novelty, but no matter how many strings he plays on, he's excellent.

I prefer the diddly-bo, thats more of a novelty.

One of the best performances IM ever played.

I'm going away for the weekend and I'll be driving heaps so I'd like some good driving music. I'm into pretty much anything from metal (no death/black or screaming in general) to dance to pop to whatever. Something lively that'll go well with driving. Can anyone help me out? And yes I already have a AC/DC

Strike Witch 02-03-2010 11:56 PM

This is goddamn wonderful.

Alcar 02-04-2010 12:35 AM

Catchy. If only I could understand it.

Consider yourself set for all weekend with one song.

Laser 02-04-2010 11:05 AM

Just discovered Ian Brown.

He is brilliant. 'nuff said.

Alcar 02-04-2010 01:25 PM

they were playing that down the pub last night!

only punk band i genuinely like listening to. and they were the first punk band in Britain to bring out an album and single, the Sex Pistols did not. pisses me off how some people think the Sex Pistols did fucking everything first.

Dave Vanian is still a tosser, though. love Captain Sensible. leaving The Damned was a pretty decent move on his part, i reckon.

Dear Wings of Fire,

In reply to a comment in a blog recently where you stated that a Heavy metal song can't put you in a good mood, I politely ask you to shove that statement up your ass.

Yours sincerely,
Ridg3

Heavy metal songs most certainly can put me in a good mood.

T-nex 02-16-2010 06:39 AM

Tin Hat Trio really rox! Splat random mentioned them and I fell in love ever since :)

They make weird jazz-like instrumental music.

This is great music to draw to ^^
