This is interesting. If the muds don't know any better and think they have a decent life, why oh why would they choose to follow Abe and jump trough his bird portal? Even more so after the events at Rupture Farms and the Magog propaganda about Abe being a terrorist. Aside from Mullock's trial and Abe meeting Sam, what was cut from Munch's Oddysee?

I believe there was supposed to be more interaction with nature of some sort. They would visit Mudokon villages and there was supposed to much more interaction in and around factories. Look up Munch's Oddysee Beta footage on YouTube to get an idea.

Storywise there was brief talk of Munch being able to transform into some sort of huge monster and I recall something about visiting the ruins of Rupture Farms.

Another thing that was cut from the game was Molluck being put on trial by Queen Maggie for not taking good enough care of RuptureFarms and Soulstorm Brewery. There were different character classes such as overweight, underweight, and injured. There were a few scrapped creatures, such as MudFlubs, Sea Rexes, Meetles, Mugs, Chroniclers, and Skeeters.

Some of the devs have tweeted about using Unity, but I don’t recall an announcement saying they were dropping Bitsquid.

They might be working on multiple titles. And possibly not even Oddworld titles (based on the description of the Designer listing).

Meeches were originally going to appear in Abe's Oddysee. They got cut for various reasons, then added back in as an extinct species.

I've just noticed on my PS1 copy of Abe's Oddysee that the Monsaic Lines level is listed as 'Monaic Awakened' on my save. Is this unusual or is it the true name of the level, and I have never realised?

No, it's in all the cheat guides but has never worked.
