I kept meaning to post this, and kept forgetting. They're at the combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell.

love this stuff. i enjoy anything by this bloke.
apparently the silly cow standing behind him is too good for his music, judging by her expression.

I love Seasick Steve. I prefer it when he only plays with three strings, as it's more of a novelty, but no matter how many strings he plays on, he's excellent.

I just can't stop listening to the new Holopaw album. Only John Orth would write a country album about growing up gay, and call it All Holes No Glory.

used:) 01-04-2010 06:22 AM

I'm so going to get that.

OANST 01-04-2010 09:47 AM

Oh, wow. I actually found a youtube of one of the new songs. This is probably the least country styled song on the album. Actually, this song isn't at all country.

Leto 01-09-2010 09:53 PM

this is the most amazing thing i've ever seen/heard

Hazel-Rah 01-10-2010 12:06 PM

So what's everyone favorite medium to listen to music on? Personally I like CD, sounds better than MP3 and still pretty convenient.

Hobo 01-10-2010 12:10 PM

I always preferred vinyl and CD. I can barely tell the difference in sound, but I like to have all the inserts and artwork to read and look at as I listen. Also, if I get bored of them, I can sell them.

The only time I could tell the differecne is when the song has a lot of lyrics, vocals shine on vinyl, but I only have a few LPs.

FLAC when I have a good soundsystem. Otherwise just MP3 through mah MP3 player or computer speakers.

You cannot imagine how many double takes it took me to notice it was you all along.

Quite awesome though, I have to admit

MA 01-10-2010 01:13 PM

i don't know who he is any more.

MA 01-12-2010 08:36 AM

love any kind of country/folk/whatever. not best quality, but live sounds like a totally different song, in a bad way.

Leto 01-12-2010 09:36 PM

flac/v0/veenil

T-nex 01-12-2010 09:48 PM

It's weird.. But I can never hear the difference between Flac or MP3 ... MP3 is supposed to be really bad quality, but to me it all sounds the same. I probably have a really untrained ear though, as I can barely understand what people say when they speak to me.

Leto 01-12-2010 09:56 PM

basically if you don't have the ear for it, it doesn't matter at all. the only thing i wont stand for is the use of earphones.

http://whalen.files.wordpress.com/20...ne-earbuds.jpg

not only are they actually hazardous to your hearing by injecting high powered short wavelengths directly into your eardrums, they have shocking low and mid tone clarity. i emplor you: if you use earbuds, just stop, even cheap headphones will do better. they are the most common headphone on the market, and are the absolute lowest of low quality. personally, they are really uncomfortable for me (i don't have the right ear shape for them).

makes me facepalm for the world. especially at the volumes people listen to music with them. whole generation is gonna have hearing issues.

I hate earbuds... The sound really is worse and they make my ears itch, sweat and hurt :( I don't even know why.
But if I wanna listen to music on the street, I use earphones, because I'm afraid of being generalized as one of them fancy wanna-be people. I dunno.. For some reason many people judge against the use of headphones in public... I've considered using headphones on the street many times though... Meh. I can't now in the winter anyway.

I tend to put the volume at a reasonable low volume when I use earbuds though.

I already have hearing problems, but I haven't used Earbuds in about two years. Instead I use bigass headphones desperately trying to look like Skullcandy.

I used to have a set of Bose headphones, I think. They were awesome and I got them for free.

My problem is that because my hearing is slightly deficient, things are less loud (a durr) so I need loud music=hearing affected more=need louder music

I also have really bad luck with headphones/earbuds. Usually I listen to music with my MP3 player in my shirt pocket or coat pocket, but I guess this strains the wire because the speakers have a stupid habit of cutting out on one side. This has happened innumerable times.

or more insulated sound cancelling/isolating headphones (usually called "closed air"). i'd recommend these http://www.cameratim.com/reviews/aud...eadphones.jpeg as a good entry level closed air headphone.

less outside noise = less inclination to turn mp3 player up louder

T-nex 01-13-2010 03:51 PM

Sennheizer is a really good brand.
They make great quality. I just don't always have money for their stuff x_x ... The last headphones I had, my sister accidentally broke. As did my heart. All that money wasted.

Leto 01-13-2010 04:15 PM

yeah, even the cheap ones for people who aren't really into audio are pretty expensive. i had my pair of eh150s for about 5 years before they finally broke :( as with my heart. I don't like my new senns anywhere near as much

Gah, I think the pair I have qualify, but they're too small for my gorgeous and gigantic head. They let in way too much noise, too.

Taco 01-13-2010 09:25 PM

I'm actually addicted to this song

Leto 01-13-2010 11:53 PM

lol, i love the original
