105%? Is that even possible?

So I finally beat both MK vs. DC's campaigns yesterday and I unlocked Shao Kahn and Darkseid. They're both pretty fucking cheap in arcade mode, even if it's on very hard, you can still spam Omega beam or whatever it's called as Darkseid.
Overall, it was quite fun. Too bad there was no Konquest, just fighting and nice cutscenes. |

But why the extra 5?

HELSINKI.

ReykjavÃ*k.
I'd like to see anyone better that. It's the capital of fucking Iceland. EDIT: I've been playing Mega Man X lately. It's really fun. The levels have a slightly non-linear aspect to them in the hidden areas, but other than that it's a typical Mega Man game with walljumps. The difficulty has plummeted since I found the armour upgrade, though. I'm guessing it will further plummet when I find the blaster upgrade. |
What a coincidence. I bought Megaman IX and I am having a hell of a time dying every couple of minutes.
|
is it good though?
|
I'll let you know when I can play more than two minutes without dying.
|
|
:
Also, when was the last time you played a Mega Man game before IX? |
:
|
Then death every 2 minutes sounds about right.
I haven't played IX, but they generally have a fairly steep learning curve. |
sound's sophisicated

Playing Fable II, just finished the tattered spire. I resisted all of the commandante commands and lost my Level 4 Inferno, which was expensive. Later on, I went to eat dinner and my friend Aaron spent about an hour grinding the basic jobs which got me 50,000 GOLD that I used to create a housing monopoly in Bowerstone. Economy eat your heart out, you stinking butthole.
|
The Megaman talk made me dig out my copy of Megaman 7. Five hours and one power outage later, I beat it. Felt so much more satisfying than just trying to speedrun the thing.
|
Playing Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross again. God I love these games...And a little Vagrant Story and Legend of Mana on the side, lol. Yeah, I'm in an old school mood lately...
|
Up to the Elite Four in Pokemon White. My team is pretty much useless against dark type pokemon as it is now though, so I'm kinda fucked against Grimsley.
|
I fucking hate when something like that happens. I had the same thing against the final boss of Jade Cocoon 2 in my first playthrough. I managed to brute force my way to the Lilith nest, but when it came to fighting her I needed a team with a better strategy.
I started the fucking game again. Fuck. It was another 40 hours of playing before I managed to get back up to that fight. |

I just bought Blue Dragon because it was cheap and I lent my copy of FFIX away. I'm watching the...villain (who is named Nene) being introduced I guess. I'm really liking it. The music is pretty reminiscent of FFIX, which is great because that's the second time I mentioned it in one paragraph. I'm hoping we get more traditional JRPG's like this made, I love this specific type.
EDIT: I'ma bit farther in. Liking it even more. It has the raddest feature for a JRPG: You can collect a bunch of enemies in the field into a circle around you, and choose to fight them all at once. Some enemies will attack others, and if they get a kill you still get experience points for both monsters. Combat gets easier (faster) once you get the titular Dragons. I've also been grinding as much as I can, so I think I'm a bit ahead of the curve. I would strongly recommend you pick this up if you have like ten bucks and don't mind JRPG's. |
I played Blue Dragon at a mate's house a while back, I thought I wouldn't like it but even only playing for a few hours, I thought it was pretty nice.

They made Lost Odyssey, too. I was shocked at how under-rated it was. I'd take both of those games over any new-gen Final Fantasy any day. The series is going down the shit hole. 12 & 13 sucked everything that was good from the series. |
But 12 was really good.
|
The mark hunting was the only good thing about it.
|
I don't know what you're talking about, it was yards better than X.
|
If you liked Blue Dragon, give Lost Odyssey a go. It's got characters who are actually well-written, beautiful graphics, and a story that will make you cry. Plus all the usual combat and stuff. It's just very well-made, beautiful soundtrack too.
|
I'll be sure to buy it too, then. It's also pretty cheap. I really just assumed that Final Fantasy games were the staple for all JRPG's released near them, so I've been avoiding getting anything new for awhile. Glad to see the genre is still capable of generating something fun.

Crysis 2
Started hard difficulty playthrough and playing some multiplayer. Some of the unlocks in the multiplayer are just fucking ridiculous, game modes are unlocked after fucking hours of play. It also seems the Call of Duty crowd got to it, and camping with cloak is terrible. I usually cycle through games until I find a group not doing that shit. |

I'm gonna get it on Monday, I'm sure it'll keep me occupied for a month or so. |
Fucking shit, I just tried playing Team Fortress 2 for the first time in almost 2 years and it's changed so much. WTF, you can literally buy hats? 15€ for a fucking fedora? The hell?!
And is it possible to trade with other players now or what? I also saw that really expensive Japan charity hat or whatever. I don't know what I'm supposed to do in that crafting thing either, I have 2 scrap metal and some guns, that's it! Gosh, TF2 is so weird now. Back in '08 it was fun as hell when playing as the sniper in custom maps, now I'm just surrounded by freaky looking soldiers and heavies with golden miniguns and afro-hats. D: |
:
I fucking loved Lost Odyssey though, I'd say it was better than the FF series and as you mentioned the soundtrack was absolutely orgasmic. |
I got Amnesia Dark Descent and I love the atmosphere, its pretty jumpy, didn't think it would be scary but hey what a surprise, yet to see the shadow though.
|
My favourite part of Lost Odyssey was the visual novel bits. The story was so meh.
|
My favorite part of Lost Odyssey was the story. I hated the story.
