It should be split into two threads, with neither having every post available.

BABIES |
I saw that earlier, it creeped me out.
Also, Doom 3: BFG Edition announced. |
Big Friendly Giant edition?
I want this game :
|
Big Fucking Gun edition. Or as the Doom movie (incorrectly!) put it, Bio-Force Gun.
|

There better be an achievement/trophy for beating it with just the shotgun, since that's pretty much how I used to play it. I wonder if it includes the Resurrection of Evil add-on, as well? The original also included Doom I and II in some capacity, so if that goes double I am PUMPED. I love my Doom. EDIT: It does. Wha? Getting rid of the flashlight? That was the only scary part of the game. |

I think quantum conundrum looks like it's going to be pretty fun.

They cut out the bit where you use slo-mo to run across the collapsing column of safes like a bridge. That's cool.
Hopefully there'll be a PC release. |
HYPED!
|
A horror game in which you play as a two year-old.
|
Yay, just like the one up this page
EDIT: Jesus, 777th post. That's lucky |
Manco, maybe read the page you just posted in.

Bear lycanthropy (PC werebears) Usuable, throwable spears Lycanthropy and Vampirism perk trees Magicka-style spell combination And I'd just like to applaud the vampiric plot to block out the sun so that they don't have to stay hidden during the day; By far the most logical scheme I've ever seen from such traditionally pantomime villains. |

It's Hipster Rarity. She's convinced you that you're the only person who plays video games.
|
Video games are too mainstream. I just watch other people play them, ironically.

Just curious, would it be better to have a E3 2012 thread or just to post here?
|
I think a thread dedicated to E3 is better, but I might be wrong.
|
A much better look at Rayman Legends. The E3 trailer wasn't that clear, this one's better. |

Ah. It would seem death has permanent inhibitory effects on brain function.

Among other symptoms.

Quite. *Puff puff*

Wait, what?

You know that whole Molydeux thing? Well, it's easy to forget that the real Peter Molyneux is just as crazy.

Whoever gets to the centre of that cube is going to summon Pinhead and be stolen to Hell.

The Last of Us looks really awesome.
|
It only stands out graphically, other than that, it seems pretty generic. But hey, it's a PS3 exclusive, it must be amazingly great.
|
No, it's a Naughty Dog game, so it must be amazingly great.
And I never said the fact that it's PS3 exclusive makes it automatically great. I just think it looks like a good game - atmosphere looks better than most games these days, and the combat system looks engaging. I'll probably end up getting it when it releases. |
I didn't mean you, I meant that I hate how so many Playstation fanboys keep saying that Uncharted, God of War and now Last of Us are all so amazing when they really aren't. If all of those games I mentioned would be multiplatform, they wouldn't get nearly as high reviews as they have right now.
|
To be honest the only Playstation exclusives I care about are Ratchet & Clank and the HD collections like Team Ico, Jak and Metal Gear. I do like Uncharted though, I played the first one not too long ago and it was pretty good.
|
I do kind of agree that PS exclusives are kind of overhyped, but that doesn't really mean they aren't great games. Sony wouldn't make them exclusives if they weren't.
But I don't see what's generic about Last of Us, other than the over-the-shoulder shooting, which it doesn't seem to rely on very heavily. It looks like it'll bring some new ideas to the table, maybe a blend of survival horror and action (with emphasis on "survival" -I'm looking at you, Capcom). |
Resistance as a franchise is a prime example of a game only getting attention for its exclusivity.
Last of Us looks amazing, makes me want a PS3. |
Dishonored looks great. You can possess a fish and play as it!
|
Last of Us looks perfectly fine.
Uncharted is also fine, regardless of what Yahtzee thinks, and the God of War franchise has dated a little in terms of gameplay novelty, but it's still just as fun as it ever was. There is absolutely no issue with playstation (action-adventure) exclusives. I say this as a person with a Wii and an 360. |
Meanwhile,
http://www.divinitydragoncommander.com/index.php You're a dragon, you fly, command armies, fight things and shoot lasers. If they were robots it would be like one of Joe's cartoons. |
