Listened to the new Madness album a few more times and decided there are better songs from it to share.

This reminds me of Razor Blade Alley in some ways.

dyna, do you know Baths?

Well I only knew that first song you posted but not much else. That second one you posted was pretty good too though, might have to look them up.

You guys may not remember, but I posted the Baby Lovely Bloodflow video on here a few years ago. I really liked that song.

Mr. Bungle 11-19-2012 03:08 PM

You should listen to the rest of Cerulean, then. I don't think that's even the best song on the album.

Animals as leaders are good musicians but their music gets really repetetive really fast.

I enjoy a couple of their songs though.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but the ones that stand out, they actually stand out. Guess those are only the ones I'm posting.

Caution! This post contains pseudo-Baroque music.

This is my major work for Composition this year. I've been working on it for a few weeks now and I'm really happy with how it turned out. I would post the live recording, but it sounds awful because of how we did it.

Here is the Sibelius generated sound file. It's actually better than the real recording.

I'll be very impressed if anyone can tell me which Bach flute sonata movement that I all but stole the key idea of this piece from accidentally.

I think I've already heard it somewhere...but can't pinpoint it...Anyway, very good piece. Just one thing, around the 2 mins. mark, the volume of the flute seems to be up and down. Was that on purpose?

New Bad Religion single, niggers.

Yes but Sibelius generated music has stupid dynamic contrast with no shades of grey.

MeechMunchie 11-22-2012 01:27 PM

The last thing I made on Sibelius was a rockin' triangle solo.

I see. That's why it is so low and so high in a split second?

Hahahahahaha, what a fucking twat. I loved that part where he acts like he's some sort of a god by saying he's been around since the late 80's. Seriously.

Anyone who was around in the 90s will probably remember this as one of the...better, mainstream tracks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...bRzy_t8#t=137s

For some reason I feel really nostalgic playing this song. Can't believe I'm saying this but thanks, BOII for reminding me of it.

Happy December everyone!

e: Removed the stupid song. Have this one instead.

Mr. Bungle 11-30-2012 09:35 PM

Merry December indeed. I've been listening to some Sufjan recently, his album Seven Swans in particular. It's a lot more stripped down and folky than Illinois and feels a lot less bombastic. Still, Sufjan is a fantastic songwriter, and it really shows on some of these songs:

Phylum 11-30-2012 10:14 PM

He certainly is a fantastic writer, and there is some beautiful stuff on Silver and Gold so far. The only other album I have of his is Illonoise. I really need to find money to get some more.

I had a huge conversation with my friend about how beautiful The Predatory Wasp of the Palisades Is Out to Get Us! is on Monday. I keep getting urges to listen to it ever since then. It's so pretty.
