Gotten used to playing my DS again. Mainly Kira Kira, Bejeweled 3 and Sally's Salon. Also playing Angry Birds on my PSP.

Yeah, even down to the awful menu music...

(PS I've been busy with the other games so I've just started) |
Well motherfucker. The Land of the Livid Dead in Rayman Origins is really hard. Like, really really hard. It's all RUN PUNCH RUN LONG JUMP SHORT JUMP RUN SWING AVOID ENEMY GO GO
I'm having trouble in the second sequence of the first level in there, goddamn livid dead, I'm gonna get you. EDIT: oh shit, it's not the first level, it's the level. welp, this'll take some time. |
:
Using the Safari category is a bit stupid though since none of the cars in that category are actually competitive. Though it is fun to attempt to win in the Peugeot 504... |
Digging deeper into Saints Row 3, really seeing how it will expand and keep me content for a while. Love pretty much everything about it so far.
Also Mac, I blew that bitch building up. |
I got the demo for Rayman Origins. I didn't like the controls and deleted it the next day.
I don't think it's a bad game. I'm just not into playing games as much as I was, so it really has to speak to me for me to do it. Also, I have never played a Rayman game other than the first Raving Rabbids, so there is no nostalgia factor for me. |
The controls feel really weird at first, especially if you're used to games like N+ or Super Meat Boy. Since I bought SMB I'm worse at Origins because it becomes apparent how much it lacks precision.
I managed to beat Mr Dark this morning. I was a little disappointed that the first 2 parts of the fight were previous bosses. The chase was good fun, but I was annoyed that the last fight took place on Moskito. It was like the final battle of Rayman 2 all over again. Hopefully The Land of the Livid Dead will make up for that. I'm still 3 Dragon Teeth away from unlocking the final world. I'm on 164/200 Electoons to unlock all of the chase stages. I did like the disco scene before the Mr Dark chase, however. It was a nice throwback to Rayman 1. |

All the new tracks are excellent, even the DLC ones despite how glitchy they are.
|
I beat it. The Land of the Livid Dead I mean. The boss, Voodoo Momma (or whatever it's called), wasn't hard at all. You just had to know two or three patterns she did. The part before the fight was the meat of it all, challenging and awesome. It's really fast-paced too. I really liked it, the boss was neat but pretty easy. No disco with the boss though.
To be honest, Rayman Origins is a really solid game even though I doubted it at first because it looked like an arcade game. I think more people should get it, it's great fun in co-op and it has only sold about 50,000 copies. That is pathetic. And Ancel himself said that the sales will affect in the development of BG&E2 so there's another reason to get it. |

It would be really something if they were real cars and real races and you got some sort of benefit for doing that well. Never mind.

I want them to update my personal performance on the WRC website! :fuzmad: :D |

http://wrcthegame.com/stats2011/PS3/...neyHead95.html I would post a image of it. But it would be the whole page. lol :D |
I just started a new game of Morrowind.
That is all. |
Stop talking about car games.
Seriously. PM eachother if you want to keep the discussion going. |
You can't PM BoneyHead95 otherwise I would have done it.
|
If they are playing car games...that constitutes a valid discussion in the thread does it not? ;)

And yet it's still a part of the topic.[/belligerent]

I don't know if I've mentioned this yet, but I got a PS3 just to play Stranger HD and god a few games with it. God Of War III is one of the most fun, engaging games I've ever played. It's difficult but not too difficult and there's a weird sense of humour to the ultra violence in it. It's also terribly written. Like, the most garbage writing I've ever encountered. It is soooooo silly. But still, lots and lots of fun. At one point you're in this humungous cavern being towed around on a giant box and have to protect the chain holding you up. This is difficult as hell because you have to fight a bunch of little fodder enemies and then these bullshit minotaurs, or so you think.
What you're supposed to do is just hop around like an idiot avoiding the little guys until the minotaurs appear (the whole sequence is spawn-scripted) and then just pick up a skeleton and use it as a battering ram to knock the big guys off of your box. It's a silly, ingenious series of battles like that that have warmed the game to me, despite its silliness. I got MGS4 too, but it is one long insufferable cutscene so I'm holding off on it until I've beaten some other games. Like Mother 3, which I beat a few days ago. I love that game, it actually made me tear up a bit at the end. |
The Binding of Isaac
Great little game but my god is it strange. Actually scrap that, Its disturbing! |
:
I did enjoy killing the gods but for me it was a one off. I only played it once but if I try playing it more I would be able to 100% it. Oh and if you thought the picking up a skeleton and use it as a battering ram was silly then wait till you get near the end. No wait the game silly all over. There said to be making a new God Of War but I won't get it. MGS4 I played more then once and everytime I did I watch all the cutscene. I don't know why. The one thing I hate about MGS4 is trying to download MGS Online that takes five hours to download. WHY DOES IT DO THAT! :fuzmad: |
:
Of course, I don't spam photos of myself at the drop of a hat either. So each to his own. |
It's part of the topic to tell people what games you're playing, but simply discussing the games between them is better done via PM.

Phylum, ever thought about becoming a mod? :p On-topic: I just finished World Of Goo for Android (on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1). The touchscreen is a brilliant way of doing it; it just feels like a really natural way to position the Goo balls. For some reason I found it quite a bit easier than when I played it on the PC. Not just due to the ergonomics; actually in terms of building structures that don't fall down. Maybe my memory is just a bit iffy and I remember it being more frustrating than it actually was. *shrug* |
I've recently played Max Payne and I've installed the FPV mod for it (Since I like FPV). :P

Then don't discuss it, or start a damn car thread. It's pretty fucking simple. Also, my comment was directed at STM.
I logged onto Spiral Knights to get the achievement for the Great Gift Pile and have been sucked back into playing it. It's so simple, but so fun. The PvP is really nice, too. It's fun sucking people into unleashing a combo you can avoid only to hit them back with a combo while they're recovering. |
I've been playing Red Faction: Armageddon for a few days now and it's pretty fun. The infestation mode is really similar to the horde mode in Gears of War, it's fun in co-op. The story itself doesn't interest me much, but the gameplay is quite smooth and I love the breaking & repairing system. Some of the weapons are nice too.

Yup, MeechMunchie here with another of his trademark rambles.
Replayed Psychonauts. I found it so compelling first time round I went for (and achieved) 100%. Since I knew where all the awkward figments were now, and going for 101% wasn't really much of a step up, I instead commited myself to hearing every line of dialogue in the game. I probably failed, but I showed every nominally interactive object to, and used every power on, everyone. As well as getting the bacon out every thirty seconds. I was treated to such lines as: "Eurgh. Germs." (Sasha) "I got a button. And everybody says YOU GUYS SUCK." (Raz) "Oh my God! Why am I holding a gun?!" (G-Man) "Go take Sasha's training! Why d'you think I gave you that damn learner's permit?" (Ford) "Whadda you asking me for?! Get down to the lake and save your girlfriend!" "Y'know, she's not technically my girlfriend. We're just good friends." "Oh, sure, that changes everything. Why don't you just let her get eaten then?" (Ford/Raz/Ford) Took lots of screenshots. Especially of Black Velvetopia. Mmm. The changes made by the 2011 update were subtle. The achievements were appreciated, as well as a slight visual upgrade on specularity and other fancy effects. I heard that The Meat Circus got nerfed, but it seemed the same to me. But then I didn't find it that hard first time round. What's wrong with the last level of game being hard, anyway? But what I really liked was the art in the credits. Maybe I'm just being stupid, but I don't think there was a photoshoot for every level before? And a Double Fine team photo? Also, soundtrack is still great. |
The game is called: Tremulous®, it is a GNU released game (Freeware):
This was a mod for Quake3: Arena, but then became a Total-conversion/Source-port to the Ioquake3 engine so that it could be a stand-alone game. The Game features two teams (Aliens and Humans), now the Human's have to kill the Alien's and get money to buy guns whilst the Alien's have to kill the Human's to get 'Evo's' (Which is used to evolve into other types of aliens). The Alien team start off with players that choose from Grangers (or builders) to a Dretch (Who kill and get evo's), now there are quite a few classes of these types and the most hardest to evolve to would be the Tyrant (costs 5 Evo's) and is almost impossible to kill. I can't add more detail to it, but I can share with you the Homepage and Wiki about it: Homepage // Wiki Disclaimer: I don't know if you have heard of this game or not, it came out in 2006 but has a recent Gameplay preview for an upcoming release (Or GPP 1.2). And yes, I do play this. |
