Pretty much, haha. The Penguin encounter was such a disappointment.
|
But still satisfying, xP Shortass. the Mr. Freeze fight, however, was awesome. And Ra's was a damned cool fight.
|
My friend got Rage a few days ago so I tried it out today and really didn't feel like anything special. Definitely not a GOTY contender, but it was alright. It's something I'd probably end up buying from a sale for less than 10 euros.
|
I've been wanting to play RAGE for a while now. It looks really good.

He said that it looks good. And it does, even if it feels shit.
|
Just played trough the BF3 campaign, not much to look at really. Way too linear, way too scripted.
Downloading Modern Warfare 3 now to have a go at it's campaign and see how World War 3 ends. |
I suppose this counts, I managed to find a PDF of the Necron 5th Edition Codex...for anyone who is interested in the fluff like I am, it's a little sacrilegious to the previous book, the writer ripped away the necron personality and just threw as much egyptian history into the wounds as was possible. So now you have diplomatic tomb worlds...wtf.
Jesus are they overpowered in the fluff as well. The Celestial Orrery has the power to destroy any star in the whole galaxy...including Sol, so destroying Terra is now as easy for Chaos and marching into the Orrery and pushing the allocated light. xD |
Fuck off, the Necrons were boring as fuck terminator expies before. the new book actually gives them some goddamn personality.
Also I finished Deus Ex Human Revolution. I got all four endings, not sure exactly which one I support. my GOTY though fo sho |
Yeh but I don't know whether I like how the old canon is just re-written, they aren't supposed to have personality. The only way I can believe this is consistent is to say that the imperials didn't know enough about 'crons to have the amount of info the new codex has. And the Celstial Orrery is still crap.
Oh yeah and the C'tan have been reduced to pieces of crap in little boxes but the models still show them as enormous monstrosities with terrible power, oh and also the picture towards the end from the last codex with him waking with a tomb world. Pah. |

Warhammer: The only story in the world where the plot development goes exclusively backwards.
|
Skyrim is a ton of fun. I don't know what kind of a warrior I wanna be. Dual-wielding a spell and a sword is so fun.

Minecraft Alpha :)

The Necrons do not have more character now. They just have a completely different character, and this time minus the depth of intrigue. Now they talk! To humans! In Low Gothic! What happened to the freakish silence and alien gestures? Plus they got rid of Pariahs, and Wraiths, and Tomb Spyders. They were the most characterful units the Necrons had, even if Tomb Spyders were just Sentinels with a thorax. They had an Egyptian/Zombie/Terminator/Cyborg/Robot/Undead vibe, now they just have an Egyptian/Robot vibe. By my count, that's four less mashup elements, and mashup is the heart and soul of Warhammer. I don't know who the new staff at GW are, but they genuinely are less good than the old ones. Sculpting, writing, game dev, it's all going down. The old guys used to lecture about how they tried to make everything fit together with the open-ended stuff their predecessors left. The new guys are the opposite, wanting to 'give us answers' and 'reveal the mysteries'. You know when the mystery is revealed in a story? When all the answers are given? The End, dammit. Good luck. It's been coming on a while, but I may finally get round to cancelling my White Dwarf subscription. Okay, rant over. (They did it to the Tyranids too.) |
Finished Batman: Arkham Asylum (yeah, yeah, I'm late).
Great game. My friend lent me Arkham City last week, only to take it back and trade it in for Modern Warfare 3. Grr. I wanna play it now. |

The necrons are abysmally crap now. I just hope they don't touch the orks, or the Tau, they're my only hope now. Also, I don't mind the 2009 nids so much to be honest, but that's probably because they're all I know. |
I don't really think you can fuck Orcs up, unless some executive at GW has an brain aneurysm and decides 'Derp Warcraft makes a lot of money, let's make our orcs sympathetic like them'.
But I don't think anyone is quite that stupid. Tau are still the |
Tau and IG just because the IG can pretty much do whatever and it's still, 'yeh that makes sense, it's something they would do.'
|
Dislike the Imperium of Man as a whole, too grimdark.
|
I think the Space Marines are the only part of the IP they actively bother protecting any more, but that's just because the guy who created GW's "Techno-gothic Viking/Roman space-knights with big quarter-wedge shoulder pads and Darth Vader helmets", Jes Goodwin, is still poking his nose into the head offices every now and then to make sure no-one's screwing with his stuff.
Also Tau were just unceremoniously inserted to appeal to the growing anime scene yadda yadda yadda *Also my favourite GW sculptor, responsible for the second-recent and best incarnation of the 'Nids. |
Still, I loved them in Soulstorm, fire warriors were just so overbalanced.
Hmm, to be fair I do like Chaos as well, in fact it's just Necrons I really disdain right now, everything else I don't mind too much. |
I like Slaneesh. Khorne, Nurgle and Tzeetch can go to hell.
|
Firstly, it's Slaanesh. You're also the first person I've seen who has misspelled it as anything other than Slannesh (a mistake I have made myself many times).
Secondly, screw you. Tzeentch wins. Even if he loses, he wins. All part of the plan, people. |
No way! Papa Nurgle for evaaaah! I mean, who doesn't want to become a plague champion?
|
:
But yeah, I dislike Space Marine aesthetic and the Emperor's Children are basically a direct perversion of that. I love it. The Thousand Sons come second, though. |
I love Rubric Marines just because the the word Rubric (performing as a noun anyhow). Rooobrikk.
|
Jeeeeeez, start a new thread already!
|
I like Khorne because I mistakenly read somewhere that his followers don't kill innocents or those unworthy of their killery or something. I was wrong, but I still like the idea of him.
And MM, what do you mean they did the same thing to Tyranids? Do they talk? I hope they don't talk. It would be wacky if they talked. I'm playing Super Smash Bros. Melee at a friend's house. We're all getting better, though there's the occasional gripe for someone using Roy or SIMON WHY DO YOU ALWAYS CHOOSE FALCO. And literally every girl I've ever met plays as Kirby. |
