Does anyone here watch 'Robert's Webb'?

True Grit- Amazing movie, the more I think about it, the more I love it and want to see it again. There was one scene that irked me, but besides that I enjoyed every minute of it. I also wholeheartedly agree with OANST that some scenes were meant to be seen in a theater.
Red- Saw this at the dollar movie, thought it was a nice action comedy. Tron-Thought it was great, the visuals are spectacular, and the action was entertaining as well. |
I need to see all of ythose to,mroe'33333333333333

Same.

Saw Tron a few days ago. I really enjoyed it and thought it was great both visually and dramatically.
Still want to see True Grit, Hp7, and The Social Network. |
Yesterday was interesting, I watched WALL-E and 9 in the same evening.
I still love 9 as much as I did when I saw it in the cinema. Just shows that 3D animated films don't have to be carried by their comic content, be intended for kids or be brightly coloured. It lacks the polish or flair of a Pixar masterpiece, but has just as much soul (pun intended). WALL-E was a completely different kettle of fish. Touching, sweet and funny, it made me feel slightly gooey inside. Not quite 'beautiful', but coming up to it. I approve of the montage at the end. It satisfies the audience by showing what happens next without making a crappy sequel. |
I saw Tron and i have to say it was amazing. The CGI was stunning and it was really entertaining.
My Film of the Year 2010 was Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. that movie just rocked and i'm buying it on DVD this weekend :D |
I saw Tron last night and thought it was alright. It would have been better with about 20 minutes cut out of it. Also, I really didn't need to see it in 3d - other than the lightcycle race, the 3d effect was not very compelling.
On the plus side, I'm impressed that Hollywood finally managed to make a movie that had adequate eyecandy for both male and female audiences, without making any of the characters pretty bimbos. |
I saw Tron yesterday.
I didn't like it. The story seemed kinda lame and cliche, and what the fuck was with Jeff Bridges blowing up at the end? Made no sense. 3-D was pointless too. |

SPEAKING OF WHICH Holy shit, fellas, True Grit. Definitely my favorite Coen Brothers movie. Everyone was so fucking good in it. Jeff Bridges was occasionally incomprehensible and I thought the ending could've been less...abrupt. Well, not abrupt, but the final scene with the gang wasn't what I was expecting. Anyway, super great. Watch it. |

We rented Four Lions with my dad today.
It was hilarious. Seriously. |
True Grit's trailer reminded me a lot of No Country for Old Men. I think it has some of the same actors. Please tell me it's better. A lot of people say how great NCFOM is, but I just thought it was alright.
|
I really liked NCFOM. But I love all Coen Bros. films.
|
i watched No Country For Old Men whilst half conscious. i wish i hadn't, because i didn't have a clue what was going on but i remember what happens all through the film.

I generally don't talk about the anime I'm watching or have just finished running through on these forums but I'm making this an exception.
Wandering Son is a currently airing anime series, adapted from the manga of the same name by Takako Shimura. It's an artsy exploration of gender roles and culture using a middle schooler and his friends, and is far removed from the usual anime fare with no visual reaction jokes or shit like that. The preview for the series can be found here, the animation and character designs are nonstandard and simply gorgeous, and this is art. Seriously. |
Gay Niggers From Outer Space.
Best movie I ever saw, the Danish are geniouses. |

I can assure you that both the subject matter and the characters in both were handled with decency and respect. :

I watched Snakes on a plane since it was on TV a while ago and I thought it was stupid. Only funny thing was a fat black guy who played PSP. |

I just wanted to let you know that I finally went to see Tron Legacy. Luckily. It ends running here on 19th.
Anyway... One word: Awesome. I dont care if someone pops in says: YUR WRUNG FOR LIKIGN IT. I just think it's pure awesome. I liked it and I really love the music too. So yea. Me = glad =D Edit: Oh and my only critique is that the ending was just a tad too predictable. I predicted it very early on.. Muh :( |
I saw Judge Dredd yesterday at like 1 AM so it was rather fucking hilarious than stupid.
"C'mon pa'! I want it's eeaaarrrss!" |
The Green Hornet. A bit far fetched but rather funny in places. I liked the fact that the main character thought he was awesome but was actually useless and a bit of a dick.
|
I saw Cop Out last night. It was actually okay, considering what it was, who was in it, and who directed it. Most of the film felt like there was no emotion, though. Like they just went places and did things just to go to those places and do those things.
|
The Book of Eli was on TV last night, gotta say I was quite surprised at how good it was. Definitely worth a watch if you like post-apocalyptic stories.
|
I watched Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant because it was on the tv when I turned it on, and I couldn't find anything to change it to, and I'll say this, I didn't hate it. This may have something to do with recently having seen about 15 minutes of Percy Jackson and the Olympians which made blood seep from my eyeballs. The idea being that anything would be a fresh breeze after that, but I don't know. I just plain didn't hate it.
|
I saw that Percy Jackson movie in theatres with friends. It was trash.
