Walter White is the main bastard in Breaking Bad, as you'll come to notice later in the series. He claims he does everything for his family, but in the end, it's just his inflated ego and sense of pride that make him keep doing the things he does. Throughout season 3 Walter just spirals down a tunnel of douchiness until a certain event happens that wakes him up and realizes he has to get over himself.
How far are you in the series, anyways? Things really start to pick up around the end of season 3, so if you feel things are getting stale, just keep at it. Season 4 is completely worth it. Also, on the topic of Mad Men, I've been watching that a lot lately. I'm only at the end of the first season, so I haven't fully realized the potential all the characters have to be assholes, but I can already see a few of the characters (Draper and Campbell, specifically) getting on my nerves in the future. In fact, most of the mad men themselves have a fairly skewered sense of morality and selfishness to them, and when they do something bad, you expect some kind of reconciliation or admittance of guilt, but it never happens. They just keep living their lives, but you can still feel that they are feeling the guilt in the back of their head. TV shows are great these days. |
I started watching Farscape. I didn't expect to enjoy it this much, as I normally don't like TV series of this kind.
At episode 3 now, but it's kept me sufficiently entertained :) Great humor and story so far. |
You should watch Lexx if you like Farscape. It's better. And it's fucking weird as hell.
I liked Farscape.
Then you should watch Lexx.
After I finish Farscape :D
No. When you finish Farscape, watch them all again.
When you finish Farscape feel bad about yourself for finishing Farscape.
What the hell is Farscape? I wanna watch it kind of.
When you finish Lexx you have a very long shower.
But it's a sexy kind of dirty you feel.
:
Anyway, Farscape is this. Pilot is the flat-headed guy at the back, in the pilot's seat. Pilot. http://images.fanpop.com/images/imag...46_957_764.jpg If you're actually interested, http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Series/Farscape |
I remember really liking the blue chick.
I remember vaguely wanting to bang the blue chick.
There's another blue chick, she was bald and scaly. Are you sure you're not thinking of her?
I liked both of them. I think I liked the bald one more as a character, but I definitely liked them both.
Oh, that was just a joke at OANST's expense.
Oh.
Uncomfortable. |
Why bother grilling WoF when he does it himself?
It makes the experience a bit less sad.
I wish my boca burgers grilled themselves.
I thought Farscape was boring.
I bet if it was animated by them slant-eyes you would'a dug on it.
And I suggest guys dont stray too much from the topic unless you wish for infractions :)
on topic: Namtar is an awesome Villain in Farscape :p Dunno what OANST's beef with it is, but its really cool so far. Edit: Oh I didn't notice Strike witch posted... Strike Witch, we need to watch more Polar Bear Cafe :D Is second episode out? |
I watched Evil Dead last night for the first time. It was pretty great, but not really quite as good as everyone has told me. The gore was satisfying, the atmosphere was well done and absorbing, but I didn't find the "villains" of the movie particularly interesting. I also don't think it was very scary, at all.
Overall, a good ol' horror movie. I still need to watch the sequels, and Army of Darkness. |

I don't know. maybe i'm boring... But it seems like just my kind of show :p
Aliens, space chases, funny dialogue, Namtar, interesting villains... And it also seems innocently naive. Almost as if the plots were made by a kid, but then altered by an adult. Dunno if that makes sense. But it just appeals to me. I'll watch Lexx too though if it's anything like Farscape ^^ And if its not like Star Trek.. Now Star Trek is a show that's way too boring for me. I mean, I can watch it sometimes, but it's just boring to me. |
Lexx is like Farscape written by an insane pervert.
:
Then I shall definitely watch Lexx next :D

I watched Gamer last night 'cause it was on TV and I was bored. It's a below average movie but I didn't really mind watching it.
I watched 'In Time'.
Kudos for Justin Timberlake for actually putting on a good performance. I wish they'd explained why time replaced money as currency though, unless it's an alternate-universe type of thing. |

I will say there are a few concepts present in those films that I thought were kind of creepy. Such as the unseen force that chases Ash through the woods. They kind of ruined it in Evil Dead 2 though by showing what it looks like at the end. It makes a comeback in Army of Darkness though, and the sequence is epic. What I fucking love about Sam Raimi as a director is his use of camera angles and lenses. Typically people don't even notice the utterly insane shit he does with his cameras unless you're a film geek like me. Let's just say that in order to get some of the shots in the first Evil Dead, he was hanging upside down from the ceiling by his knees. I highly recommend you listen to Bruce Campbell's commentary. He dishes out some awesome trivia, and he's also just funny as hell. |

in Hobo With a Shotgun. It is a really, really weird show. Nikki I don't really know about but you, Joe. You should have watched this a long time ago. |
I loved Evil dead... But my most favorite one was Army of Darkness... It was the first movie I ever saw of the series, and it was in Germany in.... German... oddly enough, I never missed out on much despite the language barrier(germans dub everything). It was funny as hell. One of my fave movies when I was young.
Edit: @ Mac... You have to take into consideration that I grew up and was raised in denmark.... Home of fucking live-under-a-rock... Well I lived under a rock. |
Raimi is a genius. that's why I was even more disappointed, when I saw the spiderman movies. although the first two are ok. 3rd one is a disaster.
But there was this one scene in the second one ooooh there it was, Raimi for some seconds again and it was horrific I remember sitting next to some guy in the cinema saying "whoa!" after that scene |
Yeah, that was like the one scene in the whole movie where he went full-throttle Raimi on the cinematography. Fuckin' loved it.
Also, we can't be too mad at him for Spiderman 3. The amount of studio meddling on that one was overwhelming. |

The best line ever delivered by a skeleton in any form of media; "I GOT A BONE TO PICK WITH YOU!" Absolute genious writing. |
