God, I had completely forgotten about The Dicks. How terrible of me.

I bought Night Train, Keane's new album. They're a band who don't like retreading old ground, so they were bound to lose their footing eventually. Only half of the 7-1/2 songs sound like Keane. The rest sound like the deformed hybrid of Muse, Coldplay and some rapper who sounds like a side dish for curry. This album was made to please everyone except their fans. Tom Chaplin struggled with depression and drugs, so now their only way to claw back into public view was to make some generic-o-rama. I just hope they can get back to their old, guitar-free ways next time.

i had Keane: Perfect Symmetry. i just listened to Spiralling, to be honest. i still need to listen to the whole album properly.

All the albums sound different, so I'd say it's worth looking them all up on YouTube. I'd say that anyway, since I'm a die-hard Keane fan.

Mmmm, Lords of Acid. I've tried a few times to listen through Lust in its entirety. No luck yet, but those 30 minutes before I throw in the towel are a hoot.
