Why, I happen to have acquired a preserved specimen myself. After the dissection and molecular analysis, I'll pass on the results. Of course, without actually observing a live specimen actually controlling the behaviour of its host I suspect my conclusions will be limited, but we still haven't sorted out the ethics of that one.
A world-class neurologist would be handy too, but all the ones I know are busy with the ongoing brain-slug invasion and the incessant yet unrelated headcrab shellings to be of assistance. |

Never mind, we have one resident.

What did the concept artwork of Clakkerz look like? I've heard their concepts were like strange alien chickens. Been lookin' for the pic(s) of one, but can't find anything.
|
|
I'm not sure which Clakkerz are the original concept pics I wanted or not, but thanks anyway!
One more pic-based question, can someone post a pic of a Luskan for me? I've heard of them, but have never seen them. Nor can I even find/buy that Odworld Art Book. |
Unfortunately the only picture is only available in the art book.
|
If you were looking, Ballistic is still selling, but unfortunately the cheaper soft cover has sold out. At least it isn't only the limited edition available.
http://www.ballisticpublishing.com/books/oddworld/ The Luskan has an exoskeleton of some description, and stands on three legs resembling elongate crab claws. It has two arms, each ending with three fingers that in it's resting position continue the arm's shape to a point. It's head is very loosely like that of the herbiverous meetle, but with six 'mandibles' attached to the sides, the top pair above the eyes and the other two below. The middle pair is about 3/4 again larger than the other two pairs.. The head pokes forward, so it's shoulders/back (since it's a round dome) pokes slightly above the top point of the head. I'll throw in the written description alongside the picture for good measure: "Nothing more than scavenging mercenaries. So ruthless, they will even turn on eachother. Even Meetles don't turn on eachother. As ruthless as Meetles are, they have a group mentality, they work for the good of the whole group...not Lusks. Lusks will work together well, until...if they see their self interest served the Lusk may just bail and leave the rest of the group hanging, not caring at all how it may effect the rest of the group. Lusks are only interested in their own individual needs. There is one good thing: Every Lusk knows this. They have learned to work this constant state of open misstrust...it is a wonder how they managed to evolve as a race." By Farzard, Munch concept. |
Never Before Seen / Hidden Level On Abe's Oddysee -
I was playing around with DDCheat and I found this level in Scrabimania, does anyone no why its here???, and the wind tunnel doesnt lead anywhere btw.

How did you get there?
|
Strange. That screen isn't on the rips either.
|
Yes it is, Fuzzle Guy. It’s screen D2P06C08, found through Door 7 of the Scrabanian Temple (see diagram by Sinjin below for door numbering). You can get to it by floating down from C07. Possibly the well in C07 led down to this screen for Abe to activate the flintlock before it was moved, or you could lure a Scrab down there to get it out of the way. Whatever its original purpose, it wasn’t considered important enough or it didn’t work, and the level was rejiggered to make C08 inaccessible by normal means.
I am putting this in the Q&A thread. ![]() |

MOD EDIT: This was two posts merged from seperate threads.
Does anyone know any level that you can only get to using DDCheat, i mean levels like this btw.... http://i42.tinypic.com/sc6d5s.jpg Okay guys, i dunno if i am imagining things but i remeber years ago when i was playing abe's oddysee , i found a level with molluck , is there a hidden one that anyone has found, or am i imagining things??? |
You're probably confusing it with the last screen where you vaporise the board.
I think I know what you mean, I've had memories of games, shows or films I saw years ago, but when I finally got the chance to see them again, nothing like my memory existed. When memories warp, there's no way to know without going to the original source. How would you ever remember that your current memories have become altered? |
Ok...i have a question....WHERE THE FUCKING HELL CAN I BUY ODDWORLD STICKERS?!
|
eBay. If there are any at all.

Is that a chant suppressor? If not, what is it and what is it for? |
It’s a Zapper. It zaps. Like a chant suppressor, except it’s triggered by proximity and is fatal to Gabbits and Mudokons.
|
Alf once suggested to me that it was called a Chantopus.
He might have been imbibing of the tea more than usual that day. True story. |
Multiple RuptureFarmses?
I have read some time ago something about AO's RuptureFarms being just another RuptureFarms, that there were many in Oddworld, and it even gave a number to it, which I checked on TOE to be 1029. So, are there really many RuptureFarms, SoulStormBreweries and etc. or does the number not mean that at all? I'd like to put this doubt of mine away once and for all.
|
There are other RuptureFarms and SoulStorm Brew factories and facilities about. They even try to start (small-scale) new ones in Munch’s Oddysee. But I think it’s safe to say Abe’s taken out the flagship plants of each chain.

Why do Greeters have Slig voices?
|
Same reason the OWI recorded their own voices for characters... Moolah!
|
Where can I find an enlarged version of this picture:

Unless you have a copy of the Oddworld licensing guide, that’s the best we’ve got.

What is the Industrial Tower? I've heard of it, but I don't know what it is exactly.
