I'm considering buying Fire Emblem to play on my mum's 3DS. Should I?
|
I played the demo and it was really fun. And from what I've heard, it's a brilliant game. One of the system's best apparently.
|
Joe loves it because you can marry a little girl in it.

Shadow of the Colossus is a glorious game. And on a related note, I just bought Ico. So that's another game to playthough soon :)

Hit world rank #15,525 in Quake Live duels.
I can definitely see that I'm getting better now, which is really exciting. |
Gravity Rush, I love this game but I can never decide if I want to use the gyroscope or the right analogue stick and end up totally disorientated, upside down or with my head lodged in an enemy.
Pretty fun though, it'd be nice to see more titles of this calibre for the Vita. |
Persona 3. I hate that some of Elizabeth's missions are luck based and a couple of the difficulty jumps between blocks of Tatarus are just silly, but I'm having loads of fun.
Also Akihiko's voice makes me swoon. He's such an cool senpai. |
I've been on holiday in Gdansk, Poland so I'll let you know what I've been playing to pass the time:
Advance Wars: Dual Strike, Animal Crossing: Wild World, Magician's Quest, The World Ends With You, Star Wars Battlefront II, Minecraft, Grand Prix Story. Now that I'm home in England I'm back to playing Black Ops 2 on my Wii U and Euro Truck Simulator 2 on my PC. I'll reinstall Mass Effect 3 on my PC so I can play with my cousin. |
Hi. I'm on vacation, and brought ten video games with me.
This is the point when you really should realize what an awful, shit life you lead. |
I still think Alexfili is the only person in the world who plays CoD games on a Nintendo console.
|
He's certainly the only one brave enough to tell others that he enjoys it.

I've almost 100%d Brutal Legend. It was great. Best game DoubleFine created so far. I didn't like DF that much before, but after I played B.L., it changed.
|
What?

I said: "I've almost 100%d Brutal Legend. It was great. Best game DoubleFine created so far. I didn't like DF that much before, but after I played B.L., it changed."

I got DKCR3D a day early as a present for myself for doing well on a job interview. It's shockingly hard, but very good.
I generally expect to be able to 100% stages on platform games on my first go until about halfway. Not so here. It's enough of a struggle just to get the KONG letters. |

Okay, okay, you won. I was wrong, Brutal Legend sucked and DoubleFine is shitty ;C Are you happy now?
|
What?

The old duffer's going deaf already.

Also, I have to spread more rep. |
You didn't take that auto-enucleation thing seriously, did you?

I didn't have a chance to play Iron Brigade. I played Psychonauts though, it was really cool, but in my opinion BL was better.
|
I can't help but read that as Boys' Love.
|
I can understand that, we're on OWF after all. I meant "Brutal Legend" though.
|
Well, I learned something about Vyrien today.

Is that a line from one of your animes?

Stranger's Wrath HD
I'm pretty high on the leaderboards, but not high enough. Most of the complete times are hacked (the top score is hard mode complete in .151 milliseconds.) I just finished the game on Hard in under eight hours which should put me somewhere around the 3rd or 4th place mark, but I'm not showing up. Gonna try to get the top score for Moolah collected during a playthrough since that is apparently unhackable. I was surprised to find I'm in the top 30 people for just about every bounty except for Packrat Palookah, which allegedly took me almost an hour. I remember it taking a lot less but oh well I can always try again. |

I'm listening to Joe play Persona 3. It's an interesting experience.
See, Joe likes RPGs, but he has a thing where he does everything in his power to prevent himself from losing a fight, so he'll grossly overlevel his party for every bossfight until it's laughably easy. However, in Persona the combat system is full of spells and abilities that can charm or instant-kill your party with a 25% accuracy, so there's a 1/4 chance during the tougher bossfights that your overleveled characters might get fucked over. See, when that happens to me I think it's cool, so I will re-spec my party to block the light or dark instant-death spells or whatever, however: Joe really really really hates luck-based mechanics. He views them all as being bad game design and artificial difficulty. So when a floor boss charmed his entire party with a Sexy Dance skill: :
But it's fun. |
You and Joe should just fuck and get it over with.

Sorry unlike the rest of the forum I don't do penis
|
I usually dislike instant death mechanics, but Jade Cocoon 2 got it right. The highest % chance of death spell could only target one monster. The next tier up targeted your entire active side, but had a much lower percent than the other spells.
The strongest beastmaster in the game uses it lots, so to take him down you need to plan around potentially having a large chunk of your beasts wiped out at once. Lots of slowing spells and recovery water magic. I really need to find time to play that game again. |
I've hit level 32 and Vanilla WoW is still fun. Something about killing mobs over and over again is just so much more entertaining than the forced enthusiasm put into the quests in the newer games. Maybe it's because a rogue, and I really like killing things, but the quests are simple, accomplishable (well, to a degree; some of them are near impossible unless you use WoWiki) and offer buttloads of experience. No gimmicks like the shit they started doing come Cataclysm (and maybe a bit of Wrath).
|
I'm one of those strange people who likes grinding, but I'd never call vanilla WoW fun, nor wish to ever do it again.
