One of my favourite covers. |
I'm going to see the Pixies in april, and I'm so fucking excited. Seriously, you have no idea how excited I am.
In case you're no familliar with them, this is one of their more accessible songs: |

I like this song's dubstep remix, but the original is pretty nice too.

It's on Trompe le Monde. Released in 1991.
One of my personal favourites, I recommend it. |
Oh God I saw La Dispute on Saturday, it was amazing good. Haven't been to a hardcore show in quite some time, so been on a La Dispute/Caravels/Sed non Satiata sort of binge, is gud.

I previously posted this in the Game Music thread, but since I'd listen to this one even if it wasn't in a game I'm posting it here anyway.
|
Haaaah!

Ah. These bro's have a new album coming out, and I am super excited. |
Best music video ever! I'm on crack!
|
This song was playing during a dream I had the other day, and it has been stuck in my head since. AHHHHH |
I wonder if its on purpose that their cover is practically an optical illusion.
|
umm MOST LIKELY
|
Yeah. It's an album I'd love to own on vinyl just to stare at it.

I bought the album, but it really does not behave like an optical illusion when I look at it physically, so I was wondering. edit: I actually accidentally got tape on the CD :( Before I even got to listen to it(Have no idea how).... And the glue just stuck to it and I have no idea how to get it off. so i was left with just downloading it X_x Well at least I own it legally =) |
when i buy albums physically i usually just download them anyway, they'll be properly tagged and such for I am lazy lolz.

Speaking of which: If anyone is confused as to why such absurd beats are awesome, don't even worry about it... |
This is one of my favourite songs ever. Great progression and musical interplay, meaningful lyrics, etc. Highly recommended, along with the rest of the album. |

Sweet jesus what is this
|
what the sweet bloody christ
|
John Zorn. Fucking uneducated swine, you are.
|
Meh. Better than being a pretentious asshole, I guess.

Coming from the guy who picked 'Mr.Bungle' for his user name. Right. Oddjob, my fascination with Zorn stretches back to seeing the Original Funny Games years ago. The sudden intrusion of the music coupled with the theme of the movie was almost exciting. That and the rest of his stuff is so random, especially the Naked City work, that I just can't stay away. The sudden changes and screeching halts keep me coming back. |

Find and share.

It isn't exactly how I remembered it, but it's close. My inaccurate recount doesn't detract from it. What I was talking about comes in at about 1:15 and is featured throughout the rest of the video. |
