It's not about being trusted or related to anyone. I know I've got some cousins that I quite like that I wouldn't recommend to join any social group I take part in.

Frankly, security issues are secondary. These rules are about you being a known, liked member of the OWF community. Stick around for a few months, fix your grammar, create a good impression and then ask again.

Everytime you pester to get on the server, the more and more people dislike you. Which is ironic since you have to be liked to get on.

I sware to god sometimes people join this fourm just because of the Minecraft Server.

In other news; I'm not sure if this problem lies solely with me, but most of the time chests and signs don't light up properly. This is rather annoying, as to read signs I have to put my self at awkward angles with them to be able to see the text! Conjugate verb! Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hm yeah he was up at my house for a couple of nights and he wondered about the awesome server I was playing on. I never thought he'd take it this far, though I find it pretty funny :D

El'Scrabino, usually putting a torch down and knocking it out again will fix it; the game's forgotten how to work the light for that area slash item, so 'refreshing' it by changing the lighting should fix it.

I think we should make being able to spell 'mudokon' a condition for joining the server. They're only about the most important species in the games set on Odworld.

Right then, nearly 2 weeks later I've finally got off my arse and uploaded the first two parts of our 1.7 Genesis guided world tour, with voice chat. Although I really don't think many people will sit through the entire thing. It becomes more entertaining during part 2 and afterwards.


(I dropped the backing music after this part in subsequent parts, it didn't really work)



I've edited up to part 4, and there's another 30-40 minutes of footage I have to go through. This is all I can be bothered to upload for tonight since it takes so long. Will do more tomorrow.

Crap.... according to the wiki, Pumpkin seeds could be found in Mineshafts... but not the ones generated prior to 1.9.... :( now they will be even harder to find.

The Yogscast found pumpkin seeds in 1.8. What makes them so special?

Here's another suggestion to Havoc: Why not also add Slimeballs to the things that you can sell?

Because they're useful. The idea was selling useless items.

Like gunpowder and ender pearls, it's a renewable resource which isn't game-breakingly easy to farm (although it is common to find a large slime in Exoddus mines) since you can't find slime spawners. Yes, it has a use, but it's people's choice if they want to hoard (rather than sell) gunpowder and slime.

Oh yeah part 3 of the tour has been uploaded. Maybe when I'm done they can all be added to the first post of this thread by a mod or something.

Yeah, add slimeballs. I get hundreds of them out of my slime farm, so I'm all for it.

Part 4 of the tour is up. The thumbnail still is funny. Also there seems to be some video corruption when we look at the cursed pick cave - Perhaps that cave is truly cursed. :P

Out of all things it makes that the thumbnail. Priceless.

As for slimeballs, they are too easy to get by and 1.9 should be around the corner anyway and supposedly will include animal breeding anyway. As soon as animals can spawn naturally again I'm taking the entire economy thing out anyway.

I've just claimed one of the large plots at the back of Exoddus to build a temple to house the Golden Apple we found when we first arrived.
There was no sign in the plot saying it was unclaimed, but there was no sign saying it was claimed. There was a creeper crater in the middle of the plot where a sign should be. So I'm assuming it's unused; tell me if I'm wrong. I'll start building as soon as I get some ideas together. Also, I'm thinking of putting together an adventure of some sort to build/run on the server. I'll see how ideas go.

I don't suppose anyone wants to donate any gold blocks? I'd like to use some for the temple but I have very little gold.

Phylum originally used that plot but said that he felt that he was all alone there (even though I want all those plots filled, lol). So yeah, it's free. Maybe I have some spare gold kicking about I can donate to the project (provided I don't build anymore minecart spirals for a while).

I'm sure people would be willing to give away some gold. They're only good for powered rails really. :)
