Nice special effects.

Where's Wall-E?
|
That was fun trying to recognise as many as I could rather than find Wall-E (since I found him pretty much immediately) - Surprised Sergeant Bash from Robot Wars is in there too. :) That pleases me.
Why is a Henry vacuum cleaner in there though? :P |
I would make this into a full game. It'd be so trippy. |
:
That video simply has the 'portals' hardcoded in to the level design and a little bit of trippy gravity. Come back to me when they've actually built a mathematically non-Euclidean level. |
The point is that the portal mechanics are capable of a hell of a lot more than they'll ever be used for by Valve.
|
Perhaps, but I didn't find the levels that compelling simply because walking through a door could take you anywhere. If the way that they worked was logical in some fashion (which is what I meant by mathematically non-Euclidean), the element of working out the mechanics of a new type of world would be so much more exciting.

I saw Clank. That made my day :D
|
I saw a robot trying, what it seems anyways, to skull fuck a washing machine. That made my day.

:
yes he was a he. shut up. |
:
|
Yeah, I've seen the ceiling walking discussed, but never executed. That, I felt, was the best part of the video.

So when can we expect the U.S. to declare war on tectonic plates?
Alcar... |
Surely they did it themselves with their secret earthquake machine...

This is in our school's subject guide for next year. It's not hilarious, but we all had a chuckle over it.
None of the other subjects are worded like this. http://www.oddworldforums.net/attach...1&d=1314188317 It also talked about some practical work, but that was even less funny. |
My own speedrun of a horrifying game. |

I smiled at this but at the same time I think they're a bunch of wankers. |
Poor girl.

Any gamer can prolly relate to this:
|
That was good, can relate to that indeed.
This is finally out - Impressive visuals and special effects considering it only has a $250 budget, but it's a shame the storyline didn't really work very well: |
Oh part two is finally out :D. Yeah I agree, story isn't really big in these movies. The effects are awesome though.

People can't drive.
|
yeah, all of those drivers were being complete and utter pricks, apart from 4:25 onward where it seems there are a few moments where you can blatantly tell the cyclist is actually trying to speed up when a car is trying to pass, and generally trying to get a reaction by making out he's in the right and they were driving too close/too fast/not looking. fact is, cyclists are on the road too and should adhere to the laws, meaning they should look where they're going, slow down when someone tries to overtake them, not touch cars even when they're driving too close and realize that they do not deserve special treatment just because they're not in a car.
when on the road everyone needs to be paying attention, use common sense and let people pass if you're not going as fast as the majority, no matter what you're driving/riding. there's no point touching a car whilst cycling, even if it's too close. you've got to remember that drivers are driving. even if they are in the wrong, like a lot of those drivers were, purposely hitting a car can cause an accident, and it'll be a lot worse than crashing a bicycle. simple as that. i mean, at 4:25 he even knew the car was coming seeing as he kept looking back, and yet continued at the same speed in the middle of the road. that isn't right, it's being stubborn and is why a lot of drivers can't stand cyclists. and the last altercation could have been totally avoided if he just slowed down to let him pass and kept his hands off the car. once again, he could see him trying to overtake him, and yet continued at the same speed which is fucking dangerous for the person driving. cars will overtake bicycles, they always have and there's no wrong in that, so to avoid accidents the cyclist should slow down. there was no point in doing any of that other than to get a rise out of the man so he could say "see? look at that reaction, he could have killed me!" in short, that bloke is a fucking self righteous dick and is just as dangerous to the drivers as they are to him. he's overreacting to things cyclists have to navigate every single day just for the camera, and isn't setting a very good example as to how a cyclist should behave on the road. i used to cycle a lot to and from work. if i saw that cyclist on the road behaving like that, i wouldn't agree with him just because he's a cyclist too. i'd be agreeing with the driver. as for the cab driver at the end of the video, he's in the right. i would have reacted the same way. he was giving him plenty of time to slow down, instead he remained at the same speed and even hit his car which is pretty much goading him into losing his temper.
