I groaned when I saw Tenacious D, but the guitar riff in that song is great. I still didn't listen to it. It was one thing when I was stupid and didn't know any better, but liking a group like that is social suicide with my musician friends.
Our Boy's choir is singing this. It's amazing. Simplicity at its finest. |

Tenacious D is and always has been shit.

The new Godspeed album is very beautiful. I recommend it for anyone who likes well thought out, composed and produced music. By the way, the two songs are 20 minutes. But worth every second. |

We're all classically trained musicians and we all have really specific, conflicting tastes in music that we're all needlessly verbal about. |

Yo, I'm looking for some smooth jazz, proper rain-and-fireplace piano-ey stuff. Hit me with your best stuff, you Phylum/Oddjob cool cat types.

There are two compositions in this video. EDIT: There's always Bill Evans. |
One of my favourite bands covering one of my favourite bands. |

Posting these cause I saw them all at a concert Saturday night, all three were pretty fucking amazing.

Naturally, Miles Davis has a Cool Jazz album. This may even be too smooth. I'm sure there's lots of better Cool Jazz floating around, but it's really not my area of expertise. |

The Chet Baker one was good, thanks.

Probably the second one is the best. |
Man, this one stirs up from feels. So pretty. |
That sounds a lot like Sparta if Sparta was a better band.
|
Yeah, American Football is pretty magical. I've never listened to Sparta though. Aren't they the other band that formed from the ashes of At the Drive-in or something?
